Rainbow Kage X Rasgos

1. Rainbow Kage slunk through the entrance to the breeding garden. Oh man. What was she doing here? Well, of cause she knew what she was here for, but she couldn’t believe she had ended up here. Rainbow Kage had felt a bit jealous of her sister having two such gorgeous pups but that still didn’t mean she had expected to end up here.
She hesitated after stepping through and looked round here, wondering which way to go.

2.Rasgos had never been to the breeding garden either. He had arrived here earlier at Ryuu’s request. He was loyal and do what ever she said but he wasn’t sure about this place. It was too… he couldn’t quite put his paw on it…
It was brightly coloured, like him, but where as his base colour was a very dark gray, this place was mainly a lush emerald green that he was unsure about in some odd sort of way…

3.She glanced behind herself. Ryuu, who had taken her here had already disappeared. Rainbow Kage felt the urge to run back after her and ask to go back to the cavern. No. That was silly. This wasn’t a bad place, in fact it was gorgeous. It was just a little odd though, as was the reason she was here…
Rainbow Kage shook her head forcibly. She must be brave! And this wasn’t exactly a scary place…

4.Rasgos slumped down onto the thick but short grass, his head on his paws. He had been here a while, just waiting and so far no other volpe had arrived. Perhaps the female, who ever she was had stood him up. His bright pink eyes misted over with hurt at the thought and a tear rolled down, as rainbow as the triangle underneath his eyes. He cried easily, not howls of pain and misery, but silent tears that steamed down his cheeks and the tears were always a sort of see-through rainbow.

5. She turned back, still unsure where to go. Then a faint scent reached her, the scent of another volpe. Perhaps that was the male she was supposed to be meeting…
Nose to the ground she started to daintily sniff round. Yes, a volpe had been here recently, and a male one by the looks of it. Hoping this was the scent of the male she was supposed to be meeting, she started to follow the trail.

6. What should he do? Just sit here till dark, waiting for the other volpe? Walk around and admire the garden? Head home?
He didn’t like any of his options. If he stayed where he was more likely to be found by the female then if he was wondering round but he was already bored. Wondering round would make it very hard for the other volpe to find him, if she was coming that was. And going home was sort of just admitting defeat, even if it was probably the most sensible cause of action. Another tear ran down his cheek.

7. She had always been good at following a scent trail and she wagged her tail happily as she was able to put this skill to such good use. She was close now, the scent was getting stronger and fresher.
Rainbow Kage was so busy following the trail, head down that when she finally rounded a bend in the hedges that revealed Rasgos, she didn’t even notice him, until she was looking directly down at his paws that was.
When her head registered what her eyes were seeing, she looked up and was shocked to see her self face to face with another volpe.

8. Stuck in his own little world of self pity, Rasgos didn’t register the approach of Rainbow Kage until the happy wag of her tails caused them to brush over the short grass. That small sound was enough to break him out of his little reverie.
Rasgos looked up, to see a female volpe very close to him and getting closer all the time. She was walking along, nose firmly to the ground and before he knew it, his whole vision was taken up by the new comer, who suddenly seemed to realize he was there and looked up at him. Pale pink eyes met bright pink ones.

9. For a few seconds Rainbow kage stared at the most vivid pink eyes she had ever seen. Then with a start as she was jolted back to reality, she took a swift step backwards. Immediately she felt a stab of embarrassment that made her want to run away from the scene and never come back. Instead she forced herself to stay; this was probably the male she had come here to meet.
Though shy at the best of times she somehow managed to whisper “Sorry!”

10. Once she pulled away from him he was able to have a good look at her. The first thing he noticed was that she was embarrassed, the next that she had pretty rainbow bands on her nose. There were more colours in it then the two colours on his muzzle and there was a slight difference is shape but its was still similar to him. He noticed other things they both had in common, pelt wise. Both where a dark gray with rainbow stripes on. They couldn’t be mistaken for brother and sister but they did have quite a few similarities, including pink eyes. He could see why Ryuu had picked the two of them. They went well together.
At her apology Rasgos just smiled, a rare thing for him to do and replied softly and charmingly “No problem at all my lady.”

11. He called her ‘my lady!’ She really didn’t know what to say about that. It sort of made her feel even more embarrassed then ever, but at the same time it made her feel sort of special.
It didn’t however; make it any easier for her to speak. She opened her mouth, couldn’t think of any thing to say, opened it again, and realizing she probably looked stupid like that, closed it once more. Great, so now she had done a fish impression. She needed to say something to break this awkward silence…
A thought accured to her. “Have you been crying?” Rainbow Kage asked.

12. Unlike most males, he wasn’t particularly fussed about being caught out with tear tracks down his face. Sure, he felt slightly annoyed with himself at it being so obvious to this pretty female but apart from that he wasn’t too bothered. Rasgos could use his tears as a weapon if need be. “Yes, I was crying because I thought you weren’t going to come” Rasgos said in his innocently sad little way. He pretty much knew what effect this piece of information would have on her.

13. She froze in horror, wishing the ground would swallow her up or that she could just die now to save her from the embarrassment. She had made this poor volpe cry just by not being here. She hated to see others cry, and finding out she was the cause of his distress was horrible. “I’m so, so sorry!” She gasped, managing to talk at an audible voice for once due to her horror. “Ryuu only just dropped me off and it took me a while to find you!” Rainbow Kage told him in earnest, hoping he would understand.

14. Yup. He was right. As usual. She was now even more embarrassed and apologetic as well. She now felt as though she owed him one for what she had done. She might be politer to him then if he hadn’t said anything. Rasgos was good at judging things like this and manipulating them for his own benefit. He wasn’t the sort to lie and cheat though. He really had being crying because he had feared she would never arrive…
“Oh, really?” Rasgos sniffed quietly like a little lost child being told his parents had been found. “I thought no one was ever going to come…”

15. Another wave of embarrassment and pity rolled through her. “I’m sorry.” She repeated.
Another agonizing silence started. She hated awkward silences, but what to say this time? Rainbow Kage didn’t want to upset him again. So something that wasn’t stupid… trying to act a little more friendly to him she asked “My names Rainbow Kage, what’s yours?” Couldn’t go wrong with that. Right…?
