No. No way! She didn't want to be back here! Why would she? She had two wonderful sons already. Sure, maybe having a daughter would be nice...but not like this! Besides, she already had a mate. She had already decided that she was in love with Ark. Even if she hadn't seen him for a while... With a sigh, she flopped down onto a patch of soft grass. Wait...make that soft, damp grass. Wrinkling her nose, she started to watch a nearby butterfly. Lucky thing. It could escape whenever it wanted, unlike her. She was pretty much trapped 1/40

What a bemusing place. Honestly, he hadn't expected to come here. At least, not for a while anyway. Pups? Not on his mind right now, and certainly not one of his priorities. Still, perhaps it would be nice to meet a pretty female. There couldn't be anything that negative about it, right? Tossing his mane back, he once more began to parade around. He didn't know who it was, but apparently he was meeting a female from his pack. There were only a few females in his pack, so he wasn't really sure who it was supposed to... Oh no. Not her. Freezing mid-step, Alastair locked his gaze onto the female Lioness lying a few metres away. It couldn't be! And yet...Whoever set him up with her was going to pay 2/40

As her fur began to heat up in the Sun, Temper's mind drifted back to Ark. Why hadn't she seen him for so long? She missed him really. They had had their meeting here, then she had gone to give birth. He had visited the pups for the first few days, actually seeming quite happy and eager (much happier than when she'd first met him) Then suddenly, he just sort of drifted away. It didn't make any sense.
She was moping slightly about this, when suddenly she heard a familiar voice call out. Temperance? She froze in horror. No, it couldn't be. Lifting her head, she turned round and saw him. And her eyes filled with anger

He had to admit, at first he was quite bemused by the situation. He knew the lioness despised him, and his irritating curiousity meant he was intrigued as to how the situation would play out. But he knew, the second he saw those angry purple eyes, whatever happened next would not be fun. And he was right.
What he was not expecting was for Temper to come charging towards him, claws outstretched. He was still blinking in surprise when said claws raked across his nose. Oww! What do you think you're doing? He blurted out angrily, lifting a white paw and putting it to his nose. It came back crimson. Oh great, now he was bleeding. Just what he hoped for

To be honest, she was surprised herself. She hadn't really known what she was going to do before she did it. It just sort of...happened. She didn't really regret it though. Who did this male think he was? As if she was going to betray Ark for him? Fat chance!
She withdrew her paw rather shakily, before turning away and sitting down. She wasn't quite sure what to do now. She knew perfectly well that if her brother were here he'd be having a field day. 'Temper, Temper!' he'd chortle. Then she'd probably rip out some of his fur too. Not that it would make much of a difference.
Glancing briefly at Alastair, she couldn't help but smile slightly. He was always so determined to stay clean and neat. It was rather...refreshing to see that red line, marring his otherwise 'perfect image'

Even better. Now she was smirking, evil Volpe. Scowling, Alastair tried his best to wipe away the worst of the blood. Fortunately, it wasn't bleeding heavily. No doubt his cut wasn't that attractive though. Glad you find it so amusing
Sighing, he padded round the female until he was facing her. He could just walk away now, but no doubt Alora would be mad at him for not even trying. He might as well face it-he was stuck for a while here.
Sitting down beside her, he tilted his head. Are you going to ignore me now? Because scratching one's face and then ignoring that person might be considered rude in some circles

Gosh, she hated him! Seriously, who had arranged this? If it was anyone but Alora she would kill them! She might think of herself as tough, but even Temper wasn't crazy enough to take on a dragon.
Well. You were asking for it! She growled in reply, gazing defiantly into his blue eyes You can hardly expect me to be sociable considering I hate your guts. Besides, I've already found a male She flicked her tails triumphantly with this statement. There was nothing Alastair could do about Ark! Even if she hadn't seen him for a while...

An amused smile spread across his face as he tilted his head curiously. Ah yes, of course. He remembered Temper coming back with that litter of pups. Two males wasn't it? Cute if you were into that sort of thing, even if they had inherited their mother's scruffiness. Unfortunately, Alastair wasn't into that sort of thing. Actually, he found the whole concept of puppies rather irritating in an amusing sort of way.
Ah yes. Mister Invisible wasn't it? I have to say, you don't half have a catch there. I believe he's spoken to the puppies a whole two times, hasn't he? Even Alastair realized perhaps he had gone too far. Still, he couldn't take back the words now

Anger clouded her eyes again at his words. How dare he! She had actually visibly flinched with surprise at how much they had hurt. Okay, so Ark hadn't been around for a while...did he need to rub it in her face? She was going to rip him to shreds!
Opening her mouth in order to growl, Temper suddenly slumped down. Why bother? It wouldn't do any good. Besides, he was right. Ark was Mr. Invisible right now. Hanging her head downwards, she let out a sigh. Gosh, she missed him. Why couldn't he be here again, instead of Alastair? Why couldn't he just have seen her again, instead of disappearing to his dark cave alone?

To his great surprise, Alastair actually felt a little guilty as he saw her looking so downcast. He had no idea why-after all, he was constantly making these little jabs at herself and her brother. He had never felt guilty before! But then, she had never acted upset before. Her first reaction was always anger.
Feeling uncomfortable, he dropped his own head. Look...I didn't mean anything by it. Sorry if I upset you Okay, so it didn't sound particularly sincere. But Alastair wasn't used to apologizing. He was usually too proud for that

While his words may have comforted some, it had nearly the opposite effect on Temperance. She had allowed herself to show weakness, and in front of Alastair of all people! She was angry, but mostly as herself. Still, she couldn't be rude to herself could she?
I don't need you pitying me! She lifted her head and gazed defiantly at him, her ears flattened. Then she relaxed slightly and looked uncomfortable. Truce? She muttered uncertainly. It would be easier than fighting at least

Gosh, could he win with this female? Apparently not. An ivory ear flicked in annoyance, but he decided to let it go. After all, a truce would be best. They were both stuck here, and they might as well try to get along. Besides, he had noticed her teeth looked quite clean and white when she had snapped at him earlier.
I suppose that would be best He smiled one of his own dazzling smiles, then settled himself down on the grass. Flicking back his mane, he rested his front paws across each other confidently. His blue eyes gleamed brightly. So...how are you?

Typical. She raised eyebrow at his question, but it was in a slightly friendlier way than it might have been before. She still couldn't stand him of course. But that was no reason to start a fight and disturb all the couples who were in love.
Can't you think of anything better? She teased lightly. A truce didn't mean she was going to be unquestionably polite though. She too took a seat down on the grass, although she made sure there was a reasonable distance between her and Alastair. She wasn't going to start snuggling up to him anytime soon

Ha! Trust her to find fault in a simple question. He felt slightly annoyed, but then he saw that she didn't look particularly unfriendly. Actually, she looked rather playful. It was strange to see her violet eyes lit up for once, instead of moping downwards like usual. The only other people Alastair had seen her happy around were her pups.
Alright then. What would you suggest? We already live in the same pack so it can't be anything like that. I know about your pups, monsters that they are. What else is there? He winked a blue eye at the monster bit, to show he meant no harm. True, the pup with the blue eyes (he could never remember names) had bit him on the leg once. But it hadn't really hurt...much

How dare he call her pups monsters! Even as a passing joke, it still annoyed her. If they weren't on a truce, she might give him another quick scratch, just to show who's boss. True, Obedience had bit him once (much to her amusement) but it had healed pretty quickly.
You might know about the pack, but you don't really know anything about me She wasn't sure she wanted to have a heartfelt chat with Alastair, but if it would give them something to talk about And I don't know about you. So tell me something, and don't be an idiot about it
