16. Mudtail nodded slowly as she said, "I myself am none too fond of large packs, which is why I'm glad that the one I live in is as small as it is." She thought quietly to herself, It's not my fault that Fire only took one of us... how was she supposed to know she'd be gone as long as she was?

17. Shinjiki blinked a little. He couldn't quite blame her for not liking the idea of having a large pack, seeing as it did tend to get in the way of everything... and everyone tended to treat everyone pretty poorly after being around each other for longer than what they actually should be. "How does life in a small pack work for you?" he questioned, tilting his head off to the side. "I mean, does everyone treat each other with some form of respect?"

18. "Most of the time, everyone has nothing but the upmost respect for everyone else. The only exception to this rule would be one of our Lion Volpes, Ashclaw. She was going to be the deputy of another pack within the lands that my human 'claimed', but then, the leader of said pack came into ours." Mudtail said. She shook her head as she recalled the Lioness Volpe; she had greeted Rainstar with nothing but contempt, and she'd wanted to do away with Leopardstorm, as she was the deputy.

19. Respect was something that Shinjiki missed when he was just with the other Starlights. He did enjoy having a pack and all, but... what he had now was simply too much to ask for. "The lions in our pack are pretty mellow," he said, thinking quietly, making it seem like he was talking to himself. "They sleep most of the day. My human said it was a cat thing?" He wasn't entirely sure, nor was he sure if this Griffon would know, but it hardly mattered. "We have a Leopard-like thing... He sleeps a lot, too."

20. Mudtail nodded slightly. "I can understand that. However, it seems like the two Lion Volpes I know are always on the move; my human says that that is odd for cat-like beings." She shrugged after she said this. "But, then again, every Volpe is different in their own way, I suppose."

21. It was rather hard to think of any lion that was willing to be up and moving, but it wasn't like he knew a whole lot about it. "So what about you, then? Are you the lazy, sleep-under-a-tree type, or would you rather be out hunting?" It wasn't his business or anything, but it was probably a good idea to hold a conversation for a little while, especially since he didn't know how long he would be here for.

22. Mudtail chuckled as she said, "Oh, I prefer hunting to laying around. True, laying around once in a while is nice, but I can't stand to lay around for long." Silverheart knew this for sure; the Quiksilver Volpe was about the only one who had the energy to keep up with her when she had plenty of energy. "What about you?" she asked.

23. Shinjiki grew slightly sheepish. "I can be pretty lazy," he said, though he hated to admit it. It was hard to think that any Volpe could laze around all day, especially not one that was in no way feline. "I suppose it's rather silly of me..." He wasn't even sure what this female would take of this, if anything at all, but it still didn't really work for him. He actually probably could have used a few more runs a day...

25. Shinjiki blinked at her. It was nice that she didn't think poorly of his laziness, but to race her? Oh, heavens, he would lose! He knew that it was terrible for him to think that losing was a bad thing, but... he couldn't really race a griffon, of all things... "Well..." he began, then sighed. "I'm really not the best runner..." He would love to say that he was, but he knew better than that.

Rainstar had told her that she'd barely been given enough time to process the facts that her former apprentice was living, her former apprentice had taken her place as deputy of a rogue pack, her former apprentice left said pack, and said former apprentice was in love with her. She had been given every reassurance that she would be there far longer than that.

27. Shinjiki could only shrug a little. He knew that there wasn't anything to do, but racing... just wasn't very wise. He should let himself run a little more, but it just wasn't something he felt comfortable about doing, especially since he hated the idea of losing. "It's a garden," he said, stating the obvious. "So I guess there isn't much to do unless you're digging and planting flowers." Since they weren't exactally able to plant seeds, it was silly to even mention it.

28. Mudtail's face took on what seemed to be a scowl. "Hm..." she murmured quietly, thinking for a moment. "Surely there are games that we could play. Like... 20 Questions, or... um... what else...?" she said this last part quietly to herself. Huh. What other games were there to play...?

29. Shinjiki could only blink, trying to figure out what exactaly twenty questions may hve been. "What's that?" he questioned, cocking his head to the side. He knew it was rather silly, but it wasn't like he got to play a lot of games with how insane the pack happened to be. Maybe he should have kept his trap shut, seeing as it would be better for this female to pick whatever game she wanted to play, without having him pester her too much.

30. Mudtail brightened up slightly. "20 Questions is a game where one of us asks questions, one at a time--20 questions, to be exact--and we both answer. It's... supposed to help people get to know one another better." She said, smiling. "I've only played it a couple times within the pack I'm a part of; the others in the pack aren't... really into gaming."
