  Fallingfeather watched as her two Volpes sniffed around carefully. The air was fresh and crisp, and both the Volpes showed interest in the big field of flowers that was right by a large lake. Fallingfeather loved pups, and she was hoping that these two Volpes would produce some beautiful ones. She walked to Ringleader (Who was chasing an unfortunate butterfly.) and scratched him behind the ear. "Be careful with Ducky now, she's delicate." she then walked over to Duckling "Don't be too shy to Ringleader. He's nice when you get to know him." She then walked over to a large rock several yards away and climbed onto it to watch them. |

Ringleader looked out of the corner of his eye at Duckling. She was shyly sitting in a patch of daisies. She was attractive to say the least, but he wondered why Fallingfeather put her in there with him. He decided that he would find out soon. He continued chasing the yellow and orange butterfly. Without his knowing, the butterfly curved around and began fluttering towards Duckling in her patch of daisies.

Duckling yelped in surprise as Ringleader tripped on her and crashed down, Duckling being his crash pillow. She wasn't hurt, more of stunned. Ringleader scrambled up off of her, digging up some of the daisies, chasing after the butterfly. He then realized that his beautiful butterfly has seen its chance and escaped. He turned to Duckling, who was still sitting in her razed daisy patch, dazed. He trotted over to the stunned Volpe.

"Hey... are you okay?' he said, seeing as she might be hurt and he should probably apologize. Duckling shook her head and looked up at the three tailed Volpes. "Uh, yeah, I think so... I'm just a bit stunned." Ringleader gave her a toothy Volpe-grin and said "Thats good, I didn't want you to get hurt. I was the butterfly's fault really, flying towards you." Duckling let out a small smile "Uh yeah... butterfly's fault..."

Duckling tried to get up, but she soon tripped over her own feet. Duckling felt her face grow hot with embarrassment as she looked up at the surprised Ringleader. Ringleader reached down and gave her a gentle tug on the ear. "Come on! You might not be the best at walking,(even though she was, she just tripped.) but I bet your good at swimming!" Duckling was surprised. Swimming? She had tripped and made a fool of herself and now he wanted to go swimming with her? She nodded warily and said "Sure, lets go swimming." she then trotted towards the lake with Ringleader.

Duckling ran ahead of him, towards the lake, but ground to a halt when she realized there was a cliff leading that plunged down about fifteen feet before it hit the water. Well, it wasn't a cliff, more of a muddy slope that a Volpe could quickly slide down. Ringleader didn't stop though, and crashed into Duckling again, flinging them both down the slope. Duckling yelped when they hit water, and felt the cool water seeping into her fur.

Ringleader's head popped out of the water shortly after Duckling's "Woo! That was FUN! Wasn't it Duckling?" Duckling was panting, her eyes wide open in surprise "Fun? More like terrifying! Didn't it scare you? Seeing the water rush up like that!" Ringleader chuckled and says "It might seen more fun if we try it again!" Duckling's eyes flew open again, this time even wider."What? Again? But... but..." But Ring was already dragging her up the slope again.

"Wait Ringleader, I really don't think we.." but it was too late. Ringleader pushed her down the slope once more. She yelped loudly and splashed into the water once more. Ringleader leaped high above the slope and it appeared that he was going to land on Duckling! She yelped and dove beneath the water. Ringleader landed a few feet away with a large ker-splash! Duckling popped up once more. "I guess that was... kinda fun!"

"I told ya so!" Ringleader shouted. "Come on! Lets explore this place!" He shouted and swam off towards the other side. Duckling followed, her paws quickly proppelling her past Ringleader. Ringleader was surprised "Hey... how'd you do that?" Duckling smiled a little bit and said "Why do you think they call me "Duckling"?" Ringleader grinned once more and pounded ahead, but oonly catching up to Duckling a little bit.

Ducky crawled up onto the other shore, which was more of a musty smelling shelf with a cliff overhanging it. It was cooler here than anywhere else and Duckling felt comfortable here. Fallingfeather craned her neck to see the two, as the cliff overhang was beginning to block her view. Ringleader dragged his soaked body onto the edge, where it stayed for a couple minutes until he finally gathered up the strength to stand up and shake himself off. Duckling smiled wider than she had yet and dashed into a nearby cave.

"Wait for me!" Ringleader called out. He dashed into the cave, attempting to follow Duckling. Her gray pelt blended in the walls though, making it tough to do. He suddenly came to a branch, and Duckling had disappeared through one of them. Suddenly "Catch me if you can!" echoed around the cave. Ringleader checked both of the caves, then shot in the one on the right. Suddenly he was enveloped by light. He must have reached the exit...

Duckling was there, waiting at the left entrance. She smiled a small smile again and said "It woulden't have mattered which way you went, they both would have led you here." Ringleader leaned to one side and saw the other exit. It was a bit small, but it led out anyways. Fallingfeather whipped around when she heard her Volpes barking from behind her.
She was surprised to see them both at the exit to the caves. They must have snuck around her without her knowing!

Ringleader wasn't about to let Duckling beat him in the fancy trick category. He could do plenty of cool things too! "Oh yeah? Catch ME if you can!" he shouted and then raced off into the field of tall grasses and wildflowers. Duckling sniffed the air, memorizing his scent before following him into the grasses. She soon though she found she had gotten lost.

She heard Ringleader chuckling and looked up as his shadow passed over her, just in time to see him landing in the grasses. She leaped in the same direction as him too, only to find an indentation in the grass and flowers where he has been sitting... waiting. She sniffed the air again, searching for his smell. His scent crisscrossed the grasses, so she coulden't find him that way.

She sighed and sat down. "Okay Ring. I give up! Where did you go?" Suddenly his shadow passed over her again, and he landed softly behind her. "See? I can do cool stuff too!" he said, grinning. Duckling smiled a little bit too. "So Ringleader... I liked the trick but... how do we get out of here?" Ringleaders face fell. "Um... uh... Im not sure..."
