Fallingfeather saw her Volpes lost in the tall grass and wildflowers. She put her two fingers in her mouth and let out a loud, shrill whistle. Ringleader and Duckling's ears both shot up. They dashed towards the direction of the whistle, desperate to get out. They both soon tumbled out, covered in pollen and seeds. Duckling was giggling and sneezing and Ringleader was outright laughing his head off. "That sure was fun, wasn't it Duckling?" "Yeah, real fun!"

Ringleader trotted off aimlessly, pretty much towards the lake again. "Want to go for a swim?" Duckling giggled and said "Sure! Ill go!" They both trotted together towards the lake. Ringleader gave her his crooked grin and started walking a bit faster. Duckling say this and began walking faster too. They did this back and forth, until they both finally broke into a run. Ringleader pushed ahead, him being faster running anyways.

Duckling smiled a bit and nudged Ringleader a bit to the side. Ringleader soon corrected his path and pounded his paws faster. Duckling pushed him now, and he tripped right into a patch of daisies. Duckling ground to a halt and trotted back to Ring. "Its like when we first came here... except I'm not there to cushion your fall!"

Ringleader grinned. "Yeah, and now we're heading back towards the lake, also just like when we first met!" he looked into her eyes lovingly, she licked him on the muzzle. Fallingfeather grinned, they had fallen in love! Duckling began running towards the lake again, with Ringleader following close behind.

Ringleader soon pulled ahead, towards the lake and the sunset. Duckling pounded behind him, panting "I'm... gonna... catch you... Ring!" Ring smiled at Duckling's exhaustion. He was barely worn down and could probably keep going for miles! But as Ringleader was looking back at her, he didn't see the cliff edge getting closer. He yelped as he plunged over the edge towards the water below.

Duckling giggled as she saw Ring flailing in the water below. She took a few steps back, then flung herself into the water after him. She made a huge splash that washed Ringleader a few more feet to the shore. When she popped up she smiled slightly and said "May I join you?" Ring crookedly grinned at her again and said "Sure. There's room for two!"

Ringleader began pumping his legs. "Race you to the shore!" he said. Duckling pumped her legs and soon sped ahead of Ringleader. "Okay!" she called "But promise not to cry when I beat you!" Ringleader attempted to speed ahead of Duckling, but to no avail. Although he still shouted "Duckling, I don't think I'll be the one of the two here crying!"

Duckling dragged her up onto the shore, without even breaking a sweat. Ringleader soon dragged himself up along side her, panting. "No... fair.. I gave you... a head.. start..." Duckling smiledand laid next to him, their wet pelts touching. "Yeah, I suppose that wasn't fair, now was it?" Ring manage to get out a weak smile.

A few minutes later, they got up, and began trotting through the flower fields. Fallingfeather was very pleased to see them geting along so well. She could tell the two were deeply in love. She looked up at the evening sky. The moon was weakly shining, and the first stars were twinkling in the deep purple sky.

Ringleader trotted up a hill, his tail entertwined with one of Duck's. Their heads were leaned against each others. When they got to the top of the hill, they laid down and looked up at the stars. Duckling nuzzled Ringleader and rested her muzzle beneath his chin. Ringleader smiled "This is fun Ducky, but I have an even better idea...."

Soon after Ringleader explained his plan, they walked to the very edge of the cliff. They looked at each other through he corner of their eyes and lifted their heads to the sky. It was now nighttime, the crickets were chirping, stars were smeared across the black sky, and the moon was shining bright. "Ready?" Ring said Duckling nodded. They open their mouths, and began to howl their love song to the moon.
