Princess Rain x Starpelt Finally finished!!!

He strode along as though he owned the place for taday it felt as though he did. This was his day and the day of course of which eveer lovely lady Ryuu had picked for him. She had reminded him so many times that this dident mean anything if the other volpe dident want it to but he though himself so dashing and hansomn, nonody could resist. Right? That thought made him suddenly worried.

Princes Rain was excited. Ryuu had been hinting that there was a volpe perfect for her. So she already had a mate but he was boring. She wanted a interesting male in her life. One that wasnt scared of spiders. She smirked to herself at that memory, Prince Squall had shrieked like someone had just tride hard on his tail. Perfetic. Sure he was brave (about every thing but spiders) and good looking and kind but still far too boring for her. She hoped for a rugged and good looking Volpe who wouldent bother with all squalls silly nicaties. she wanted a guy she could talk to without having to watch what she said and somone who actually had a sance of humer would be nice too...

Starpelt went to sit down in the designated spot. It was under the largest and most beautiful rose bush in the whole place. Each rose was oddly a differnt colour. Feeling suddenly quilty at not having anything to present to the volpe coming for some strange reason (for guilt wasent something he felt very often) he looked round and spotted the biggest, reddist rose he could. Beating his wings hard he managed to get just high enough to snatch it up in his mouth. "Ouch!" he had forgotten about those stupid thorns

She was almost there, Ryuu had said to meet him under that really big rose bush. she could already smell its heady sent over the many other flowers here and it was so big, it was hard to miss. She suddenly felt nurvoues. What if he was some boring idiot, or really ugly? What if it was actually prince Squall? She would have an angry word or two with Ryuu when she got back if it was. She would have to sit there for ages listening to him drone on about how amazing he was. BORING! BORING! BORING! She absalutly hated boring. Who ever it was better not be. At that she became dertirmened and marched fast tewords the bush.

He held the rose lightly in hos mouth so he wouldent prick himself again with it. Stupid roses, why did they have to be so spicky? Suddenly he heard a faint noise and pricked his ears up expectently, was that her coming now? he tried to judge her by her (paw)footfalls but what could you tell about somone from such a thing? Not much really though her foots steps were light so at least that ment she probly wasnt fat...

She could smell him now, a stronge musky smell but not a perticully bad one. One more step and she would be round that corner, one more step and she would see him. He better not Be Prince Squall. He better be as hansomn though, how could she even think of having any sort of relationship with somone who was not? Looks were most importent to her really. She took a deep breath and strode round the corner to meet him.

She was beautiful! Far more elegent and beautiful then he would have guessed, he had never met her bofore even though they both lived in the crystal cavern becouse their caves where far apart and she had only been there a short while. He loved her light gray fur with their blue markings in difernt shades of the colour. Or was it lust not love? How did you tell? What was the differnence?
He realised that the rose was in denger of slipping from his mouth, he sprang forwerd and placed it at her feet. "For you" he murmerd.

She let out a slight sigh of relief as she saw that it wasnt Prince Squall. He wasnt bad, she had to admit that. Lovely sable fur with orange paws, ear, tips, wings, tail end and part of his belly as well as nice star like patterns on top of the dusky black, it was like looking at a sky full of stars at night.
When he suddenly put the rose down at her paws she did not feel embaresed or any thing, just a bit anoyed. that was the sort of thing boring old prince Squall would do.

She dident say anything, just stared at the rose, or was it more of a glare? He fidgeted slightly unshure what to do and then suddenly got angry with himself. What was wrong with him, who cared about a stupid flower, it should be him she was staring at! She was made for him, him alone, no one else, his girl, his mate!
Spured on by this thought he cleared his voice and asked "So what is your name then?"

She realised she had been glaring at the rose for some reason when he spoke out. His voice startled her as she had not been expecting it, it was routher and brusker sounding then Prince Squalls. She liked that. She looked up at him and asnwerd carmly "I am princess Rain, and you are" As alwasy she put emphisis on the word princess, wouldent want anyone to miss that, now would she? She aited for his replie, wondering what his name would be.

Good, she had stopped glaring at the rose and looked up at him though he semmed to have starled her slightly. Oh well, he had her attention now, and her name. A Princess was she? He hoped she wouldent be all snooty and refined. Rain was good though, not all prissy and posh, simple but pretty.
"My Name is Skypelt" he replied. He never knew if he should be pleased or embaressed about his name.

"Skypelt, thats a nice name" she mussed. Yes, Skypelt suited him. It seemed a bit gilry compared to his apearance but it fitted well.
There was a puse, what on earth should she say now? The uquird puse continued. She cats around for something to say but her mind had gone completly blank, she must look like a right idiot..."Sooo...." she said eventually but tailed off, she really couldent think of anything to talk about...

Well she dident think Starplet was anything to be ashamed of, she actually liked it! He felt himself swell with pride. he found her attemts to think of something to say kind of cute. She must be so taken with him... look she couldent even talk in his presence. That made him thrown, how could they get to know each other if they dident talk. He would have to think of something to say insted. "What part of the Crytal caverndo you come from then? Ive smelt your sent before but ive not seen you there."

She sat up, trying to look confident and regain some of her lost dignaty. "I" she proclaimned proudly "Am from the Rushing Waters pack, our symble is that of a droplet of water, we have not been here long which is why you probly havent seen us. Which pack do you some from?" She tried to remember the symbels she had seen of other packs and wonderd which one was his.

Ah rushing waters, that made sense, it matched her pelt well, just as his pack matched him rather well."Oh yes, I remember that symbol, I am of the Celestial wings. Can you guess which is your sign? You said 'we', who else is in your pack?" he felt a sudden pang of jelousy, did she have a mate already? If so, why had Ryuu paired them up together? He dident really have a mate, Hallowedstar prefured Redpelt to him.
