Princess Rain x Starpelt Finally finished!!!

"Umm..." should she tell him she already had a mate? Would that turn him away? Would he understand that she dident care much for him and already much prefurd Starpelt? She decided to be frank and honest, in a rush she burst out "I have a partner, Prince Squall but he bores me herribly, I hope you will not bore me as he does, if you do i will just walk away and leave by yourself." Ok... she hadent ment to say all that, oops...

So she did have a mate...for a secound he felt a lurch of ...something. Anoyance? fear? Betrayal? It was gone too soon for him to be able to tell. Ha! She dient like her mate, so he was still in with a chance. Had Ryuu known? Was that why she had set them up together?
Her next words angred him though, how dare she think of just walking way from him, how dare she, how dare she? He clamed himself though "Do not worry, I will not bore me though tell me if I start to"

She felt so stupid... what had made her burst out like that? He seemed sort of angry for a secound but that faded away.When hopefully one good thing would come of her outburst, he now promised to not be boring. She really haped he wouldent be. A thought suddenly acured to her, what if she bored him? What would happen then? She decided that she would also try and not be boring.

Suddenly his ears pricked up and he turned his head away, listening. He heard a near by 'quak' sound, the skurring of wings and a few loud splashes. Ducks! He emidiatly forgot about being angry completly and wagged his tail happily "Want to go chase some ducks?" he asked egerly. Ah, he was talking to a princess, would a princess go chasing ducks? His tail slowed its thumping slightly at the thought.

For a few secounds she was at a complete loss of what to say. Chase ducks? What? But when she saw how eager he was to go do it she allowed her self to relaxe slightly. When she thought about it, it actually sounded quit fun! before he could reply she had lept up and her two tails started to wag as well. "It sounds like fun" she agreed. He looked surprised for a secound then his tail strated to beat hard again and he raised off, leaving her to hurry after him.

He was just about to say something about not really wanting to chase ducks when she agreed. Emedietly his tail beat hard and he raced off tewords the pond that must be near by. He glanced round to see that she was close behind before running round the last corner. In front of them was a lovely large pond, full of pink, white, green, silver and rainbow waterlillies. And ducks. Lots of them, all swimming happily around, just waiting to be chased.

He stopped suddenly when he came to the pond and she almost crashed into him, but ot quite. "What do we do now?" she asked. Well obviosly they were going to chase the ducks, but were they going to use any perticuler tactics, or just race in there? She dient really mind though. She wasnt very hungry so she dident really want to catch one, just chase them. Lots. "What about you sneak round the side to the opposite bank, I stay here and once your in posision, we charge?"

Starpelt nodded his agreement at the plan and strated to stelthely edge his way round the pond, hidding behind reeds and tall clumps of grass that grew round the waters edge. he was lucky that all the ducks had only landed resently and were still in the middle of the pons else there might have been one hidding in the reeds he was stalking through. That would definetly have given them away. Suddenly there was the sound of wigs again and he looked up to see three more ducks coming in to land. He quickly rid himself deeper in the rushes to stop them spotting himand hoped Rain would too.

She anxously watched him go, hoping the ducks wouldent spot him. Several times she thought they had, but no the stupid things just kept swimming about on the pond with no care in the world. Well that would change soon. He was almost there when she heard the sound of more approching ducks. She heard it before he did and managed to safely hide herself under one of the near by rose bushes before they sew her. Since they dient rais the alarm she guessed that they musnt have seen Starpelt.

Well he got away with it that time, better hurry up before more ducks flew over. He was almost there as it was, just a few more secounds and he would be round the other side. His heart hammerd with excitment and anticipation. Who would have thought it? He had come out chasing females and ended up chasing ducks instead. Well both were fun and if the princess was having fun as well, then well, what more could he ask for?

She peered through the leaves of the bushes she was under. She couldnet see any more ducks in the sky so she slitherd out. She crept to the waters adges and hide herself amoung the rushes there. She could just see a patch of faint black, almost on the other side to her. He was almost there and the ducks hadent even noticed him at all. Just a little further and he would be there... He paused, right next to a coulpe of ducks and with a large bark, shot straight into the water after them.

he was so close...he could here them swimming right next to him. he looked up and saw a slight flash of light gray/blue. So Princess Rain was in position too... He wriggled his haunches and lept out of the reeds, at the startled ducks. Everything was a whurl of colour and feathers. He snapped this way and that as the starteled birds jostled to fly away and banged into each other in their panic. Princess Rain brushed past him at one pint, yipping and snapping like a playfull puupy.

"Charge!" she barked as he lept out into the cloud of panicking ducks that Starpelt had sent fleeing into the air. She tried to get hold of their feathers as the plump ducks flew past quaking in alarm at ther two volpes who had just attacked them. She couldetn help yapping her joy to the world as she snapped her jaw this way and that after them. She dident really care if she managed to catch them or not, this was just so much fun!

After about half a minute the last of the ducks had all fled into the sky. Though several were now missing tail and wing feathers, all had got away and were now flying over their heads calling down what were probly insults in duckish. He stood there panting beside Princess Rain for a few minutes, trying to get his breath back. "Well that was fun. What next?" he asked her breathlessly after a while.

Princess Rain sat down with a bump, panting hard like Starpelt. She had never had so much fun in her life as just then. She was just so used to being statly and regal...and boring. Was the reason she was usually so bored becouise she was a boring volpe her self? Na, she dident think so. She spat out a coulpe of tail feathers that were still in her mouth as she watched the ducks circle high above them, waiting for a chance toland when it was safe.
She thought about what he said. "Hmm... I dont know. What do you want to do?"
