1. Though Other wasn't entirely excited to be back at the garden, but it was truly hard for him to be bothered by it when he was here with Twist, who happened to be his best friend, and mate. She had been taking a nap, though, so Other was sitting there next to her, waiting for Twist to do something. Of course, he couldn't really expect much from her right now, if she wanted to sleep or do nothing at all. Though, in honesty, he wanted to go to bed, too, but he didn't really want Twist to be unprotected. If he let his guard down, anything could have jumped out at them, and Other simply didn't want something bad to happen... especially not to his lovely Twist.

2. Well, just because Twist looked like she was sleeping, didn't really mean that she was. In fact, she wasn't anywhere near it. She was happily resting in the sun, being quite content knowing that Other was going to protect her to the best of his abilities. Of course, she couldn't really expect all that much from him. He probably should have been sleeping, as that was the case with a great deal of lions. Still, at least it was niec to know that he wasn't going to slack off or anything, even though Twist thought he should have been. after all, if he loved her enough to protect her at all times, even when he should be restingm then obviously he loved her a very great deal.

3. Other let out a short sigh. Though he was happy to be taking care of Twist to the best of his abilities, he really just wanted to sleep. If she was, though, then it wouldn't be entirely safe for them to both be asleep. He surely wished that it wasn't going to be a horrible thing, but he wasn't sure. It would be far safer for him to just deal with being tired and just stay awake for now. He would eventually get to sleep, maybe when Twist woke up, but untill then, he would simply have to be okay with it. He knew that he wasn't, but he couldn't do anything about it, and he wasn't really going to bother with it, either.

Though Twist didn't r elaly wnat to move, she was starting to feel a little guilty that she was making the poor brute sit there and take care of her. She knew that he didn't really have to do that, but it appeared that he thought he had to. It made little to no sense to her, but she didn't really care about it, either. After a moment, though, she figured that she should let him know that he didn't have to do anything, but she couldn't make herself move. She was sadly just far too comfortable in her current spot, and moving seemed to be more or less impossible, which was probably a very bad thing indeed for her.

Other blinked happily at the female as she "slept." It was nice to know that she trusted him enough to let him take care of her while she slept. Then again, maybe it wasn't really trust, just that she felt safe enough in the garden on it's own? He shook his head a little. He felt a whole lot better thinking that she loved him and trusted him to the point of believing he would take the best care of her that he possibly could. He knew that it was a little silly of him to really think about, but that hardly mattered to him right now. As long as she was happy, he would be content just sitting here, as well, even if he wanted to sleep, too.

Since Twist sort of felt a little guilty about making the brute just... sit there awake, while he should be sleeping, she slowly lifted her head and blinked at him. She expected him to be a little surprised about it, but she wasn't too sure what she should actually expect from him. Concidering the fact that he was probably tired, he could probably do anything without even thinking, but that was alright, really. It wasn't like Twist was really going to think about it all that much, either.

Other blinked at the female as she lifted her head. Did she want to wake up, or had he accidentally woken her up? He wasn't too sure, but he was a little concerned that he had done that... He really hoped that he hadn't, though. "Did I wake you?" he questioned, tilting his head off to the side a little. Just because he wished that he hadn't woken her up, didn't mean that he hadn't. If he had, though, he had absalutely no idea as to what he would do about it...

Twist blinked at him. Why would he think that he'd woken her up? She wasn't even sleeping. Did he honestly think that she would sleep and leave him to do all the work? Surely not! "I wasn't sleeping," she said simply, smiling a little. It was nice to know that he was worried about her, though, even though she hadn't really been expecting such things. "I didn't mean to make you think that I was or anything..." She didn't mean to sound so gloomy, but she really couldn't help it.

Mind you, it wasn't like Other actually thought that he had done something wrong, but since she wasn't sleeping, he had no idea why he felt so bad. "Do you want to sleep?" he finally asked. He wasn't too sure if she wanted to or not, but if she did, then she should. After all, he was fully capable of taking care of her. Did she think that he wasn't going to keep her safe or something? There was no way that he was going to let anything happen to his sweet Twist...

Twist didn't really know if she wanted to sleep or not. She was a little tired, but she didn't think it would be fair to make the brute stay awake, when it really wasn't his job. Of course, what could she do about that? "I... think I might want to sleep, yes," she started. "But I don't want to sleep if you're not sleeping, too." Surely that had to be a good enough answer, right? Even if it wasn't, hopefully he would think that it was okay. After all, she had no other answer for him.

Since it seemed as if Twist did want to sleep, the brute had no real idea as to what he was suppose to do for her. He figured that it couldn't have been a bad thing, though, to try to let her sleep, even though he too wanted to take a nap. Of course... she said she wouldn't sleep without him, but how could he do that? What if it wasn't safe? "I don't think I can sleep right now," he lied. He knew he was a horrible liar, but he really didn't want to make it so she wasn't safe...

Twist slowly blinked at Other. What did he mean he didn't think he could sleep right then? It wasn't like he couldn't actually sleep... He could probably sleep for a longer amount of time than any of the other Volpes. Obviously something was going on in his mind, and the Volpe wasn't entirely sure if she liked it. "What do you mean?" she finally asked. She may not have been able to tell if he was lying or not, but she did know if something was wrong, and that was obviously the case.

Other really wasn't all that sure as to what he was suppose to say. After all, he couldn't tell her that he thought the area wasn't safe for her, even though it seemed like an entirely innocent garden. "I'm just not tired," he stated, then looked up at the sky. He really just expected her to say that was alright, and she would go to sleep on her own. It wasn't like it was a bad thing, though, right? That he just wanted his mate to be happy and healthy? What did he know...

Twist blinked up at him, then leaned into his side. If he wasn't going to sleep, then she wasn't going to, either. She had told him that. "Then I'll stay awake with you," she said, cuddling up to him. She felt like she would probably fall asleep if she were to close her eyes for anything more than a second, so she was going to try her hardest to keep them open. If she didn't do that, then she would probably fall asleep, and without her beloved Other. That wouldn't be good.
