Please read and follow these rules. Bannings and warnings may be in order, even if you didn't know you've broken a rule. The line "But I didn't know that was in the rules" will not be an acceptable answer to rule breaking and the punishments will be prosecuted to the level of the rule breaking. They are here to keep the site regulated, and are generally expected of a person on and off line.
Now, you won't be banned after the first rule is broken (in most cases), you'll have to earn a banning. 'Warning levels' will be recorded for anyone who breaks a rule. It’s on a scale of 1 to 100%, and once that 100 is reached, we're sorry, but you'll have to be banned. Yourself and some staff members will be able to see your warning level, and PMs will be sent to you about a rule that you've broken. Also, Staff members will keep a log for rules broken, so evidence will back us up. Bannings may be for only a few days, or permanent, depending on the severity of your actions. Please follow the rules, no one wants to ban you from the site.
These rules apply for ALL of the Volpe Sanctuaries boards, and the C-box.
Text in Red will show by how much percent your warning level will go up.
** Respect others! And yourself. If you find that you are bothering someone, and they tell you that you're bothering them, please stop. Respect yourself, too, don't put yourself down because you mess up somewhere. So don't do something that may offend someone, we all have feelings.

1. No Chat speak! Type normal words. Chat speak and l33t are greatly looked down upon and you will get a warning if you use it excessively. Chat speak is intentionally spelling words wrong.
Ex: '2' instead of 'to' can be considered Chat speak, '4' instead of 'for', chat speak as well. Thx, plz and rly? Chat speak too. Excessive quantities of smilies/emoticons are included as chat/l33t speak.
It's annoying in large quantities. A few words here and there? That's fine. But heavy chat speak, please, keep to yourself and PMs. Note, gtg, lol, etc. are abbreviations. They are allowed. (not in the role-plays, however!)

2. No stealing! That means Items, Volpes, or even adoptables from other sites. What qualifies as stealing? Claiming possession of something that is not yours. Any thievery reported will result in a 'warning' banning. Probably for 5 days for the first offense, and if it happens again, permanently. Really, stealing is rude (and sometimes flattering, but rude), so if you want something, work for it yourself.

3. "PG 13" only please. As this site is 'friendly', anything on the boards should be kept relatively clean. A bit of blood, friendly romance, and the like is fine, but don't go overboard. A complete slaughter, no, will not be tolerated. Heavy romance, gore, cursing, etc. will cause your warning to go up.

4. Do not flame or harass others! These boards are a friendly site, have fun here, make friends. Flaming, harassing, big no no, even if kept to PMs. Don't like someone here? Don't talk to them. Be nice, treat others how you want to be treated, the golden rule.

5. SPAM is not allowed. SPAM stands for 'Stupid, Pointless, Annoying, Messages'. A never ending row of smilies and random text is SPAM. None of that stuff in the viewable boards please. PMs, fine, keep it to yourself and whoever, as long as they tolerate it.

6. Cursing/Swearing The boards automatically block certain words, and if you get around that, staff will get to it. Heavy warnings will be given out for people who swear, even if confined to PMs. Swear words, curse words, profanity, whatever you'd like to call it, it’s not wanted here. It's offends some people and we'd rather not see it.

8. Accounts You may NOT have multiple accounts. And certainly not multiple accounts and pretend to be a different person on each to abuse the benefits. The breaking of this rule will cause all accounts besides your newest to be deleted and your Volpes from those accounts sent to the Pound and items deleted. Its useless, no reason for it.

9. No begging as beggars generally don't get what they ask for. Don't beg for a Volpe, item, for someone to give you karma, anything. None of that please. Try earning those things, ‘kay?

10. Correct placement
Please place your threads on the correct boards so things don't get confusing. Board information posted in each board tells what can be included in threads. Not that hard, but its understandable to get confused.

11. Don't take action into your own hands
See someone stealing? Don't PM them and tell them its against the rules, otherwise Staff won't be able to catch him/her in the action if they fix things. Always report someone to a moderator and let staff deal with it.

12. Keep it small!
Signature sizes should not reach sizes of over dimensions of 500 x 400px. Its annoying to see large siggies, and even more so to those who stretch pages. Please keep it small. Images any bigger then 500 pixels wide x 500 pixels tall will be automatically reduced to resized image and a link to the full size.

I don't mind you taking a Volpe and showing it off elsewhere, not a problem! Actually, I encourage it (hooray for advertising!). Just be sure to always provide a link back here at VS.
