Today could be better. Clouds hung over the sky, a light shade of grey. Not too very likely to rain, but it could happen. It seemed unusually cool for summer, too, though that may just be from the wind. It was an overall good day for a shark, however. Could be better. Yes, he'd much rather be in the sea, toughing through a raging hurricane, just to get a kick out from it. However, the lake would do just fine, too. Trees of the forest could be seen not too far away, a few scattered trees in the area as well. That one weird volpe took his place under the closest one to the lake. Kai was it? The shark volpe had no clue why that one chose to follow his pack. Or why he followed him to the lake. He kept a note in mind to keep an eye on that Royal.. Shark wandered the shallows of the lake, lurking beneath the surface. Mm, the feel of the water was always so great. Yep, he was born to the water. He could stay there all day, if he wanted. Nami and the rest of the pack were just lounging in the dens, nothing happening. He just chose to go to the lake to have some fun. Alone or not, he'd find something entertaining... Kai, on the other hand, watched the lake from afar, under the tree. He wasn't sure himself why he followed the shark. Perhaps the close quarters of the den were becoming uncomfortable. Yes, that must be it. Though really, he didn't even understand himself. Perhaps it as fated? Perhaps, perhaps.. One just has to wait.. That was why he was here, to wait. For... Something. How confusing.

The presence of others..
Oh yes, any shark could feel it, from a mile away even. A wide, toothy grin spread over his muzzle. Heh. Just had the feeling there would be some fun here. Oh yeah. The shark-volpe's cyan eyes studied the beings of the lake with curious intent. Well, it sure has been a while since he's seen any other aquatic volpe. These ones were... Different from the ones he 'regularly' seen. His main focus was on the other male, the females off other there not so much. Shark didn't consider himself quite the chatty type, he today was a good day.
"Ey, g'day. Thin'gs ar' goin' good", he replied to the approaching male in his usual sea-rusted voice.
His grin seemed to be stuck on his muzzle. Perhaps, perhaps, there would be some fun in this. Just perhaps. Spunky kid, 'course he'd find something to do with him. The shark swam in a small circle, anticipation building in his fins.
Far off on land, the Royal under the tree sit as placid as always. Perhaps he should check out the water? Shark had to be doing something over there. Then again, what in the water would interest him? Most probably, nothing. No, it was the beauty of the water's surface that he liked. It was appealing to him. But then, getting a bit closer to take a look wouldn't hurt. It wasn't that he was curious, no, he wouldn't allow himself to think that. Rather, he simply wanted to walk along the shore. Yes, that worked.. Kai brought himself to his feet, pacing ever so slowly toward the water. But not quite where shark was. No, he really didn't want to bother Shark. Maybe over there...
