Just Another Day

[Firefly]

Silverheart breathed in deeply as she looked around the forest. It had been a while since the Quiksilver Volpe had been out of the Sanctuary. It wasn't every day that she got to roam about; Rainstar and Leopardstorm often had things for her to do; and the Mud Gryphon that she had found not all that long ago was simply adorable.

"Silverheart!"

Silverheart rolled her eyes as the three-tailed Volpe caught up with her. "Leopardstorm. What is it you want this time?" she asked.

"Nothing. I just wanted to tag along with you. Is there a problem with that?" Leopardstorm asked, swishing her tails from side to side furiously. "I should hope not. After all, I like exploring too, you know."

"In that case..."

Silverheart rolled her eyes as she added, "Whatever. Feel free to join me, then."

A set of dark purple eyes glittered ominously in the darker still shadow of a tree as Stormwing watched them silently. He had been out here looking for something interesting to hunt when he had heard the sound of paws padding along and had decided to investigate.

[Firefly]

Silverheart looked around curiously after a moment, her ears perked as she examined the different trees. "So, did you hear about those two Royal Lion Volpes that are coming to live with us, Leopardstorm?" she asked.

Leopardstorm smiled as she said, "Oh, you mean Rainstar's old apprentice and that disagreeable Ashclaw? Yeah, I heard about them. Heard that Ashclaw was the deputy of the pack that Bravestar was the leader of, but..."

"Hold on a moment--did you see something over there?" Silverheart asked.

Stormwing blinked as they noticed him. He wasnt really bothered that he had. He stepped out of the masking shadows and into the light were they could easily see the large blue griffen with his ravor sharp beak and talons and his huge feathery wings. All this added together made him look quite frightening.

[Firefly]

Both Silverheart and Leopardstorm merely looked at the gryphon for a few moments before Silverheart whispered to Leopardstorm, "He looks something like Mudtail... except he has wings, and she doesn't."

Leopardstorm chuckled as she said, "Yeah, I saw some resemblences in the species." She looked at the gryphon and chuckled, taking a defenseive stance as she looked at him closely.

He stared at her and wondered why she was laughing. And why was she being all defensive? He wasnt here to fight, hed just came to say hello. Well maybe some volpes were just nicer then others. There were some in his cavern who could be a bit nasty though none of them in his pack were.

[Firefly]

"Well?" Leopardstorm asked after a moment. "Aren't you going to say something?" Silverheart looked at the other Volpe and cleared her throat; "Now, Leopardstorm, that's not exactly nice..."

After a moment, Silverheart smiled as she stepped out from behind Leopardstorm. "Hello. My name's Silverheart, and my companion here is Leopardstorm. Who might you be?"

So far he dident think such of this Leopardstorm but he quite liked Silverheart. She had a pretty name as well.
"Hi. Im Stormwing. At least for now. Ryuus trying to find a better name for me that suits better name but for now im using Stormwing" He tried to smile but it was a very hard thing to do when youve got a beak.

[Firefly]

"See, Leopardstorm? We can trust him," Silverheart said quietly, chuckling. "It's good to meet you, Stormwing--even if that won't be your name for long." Here, she smiled and walked a little closer to the gryphon. "Your coloration is simply gorgeous, Stormwing." She said.

Leopardstorm rolled her eyes as she said, "Whatever. Maybe that's jsut me being a bit defensive of those in my pack, since I am the deputy, and Rainstar's away with Bravestar currently." She shook her head as she also added, "Plus... I have reasons not to trust others right away. It's also just my nature."

If he could have blushed he would have at Silverhearts compliment. "Your silvers very pretty" he mumbled to her embarresdly. Though he flet a little embarressedby her words he also felt quite pleased. And he did understand, In a way, why Leopardstorm said she was being warry of strangers, especially such a strange stranger as him. He himself was a leader of a small pack.

[Firefly]

Silverheart smiled as she said, "Why, thank you, Stormwing." Her eyes sparkled as she said this, while Leopardstorm rolled her eyes. "Oh, for the love of..."

She cut herself off here, for Silverheart was casting her a warning glare out of the corner of her eye.

Not another word. Sivlerheart warned through that glance.

He saw the breif glance that went between them. He was amazed that bolts of lightning dident shoot out of Silverhearts pale eyes. Even without lightning bolts the glance had been enough to quiten the other volpe. Stormwing was impressed. The little silver volpe deffinetly had spark to her, and was nice at the same time. She would make a very strong pack member thats for sure.

Leopardstorm gave a low growl as she backed off from Silverheart for a moment, who then turned to Stormwing. "Don't mind her--she's just... well, how would you say it...? Competitive." Silverheart said.

"I heard that!" Leopardstorm retorted indignantly.

"Competetive, ay?" Stormwing said and if he could have smiled he would have done. "Well..." He siad as though thinking about something carefully. "What about a fight?" He loved fighting. Not proper fighting of couse, he would never seek to badly hurt another volpe but he loved mock fights. If she was competetive maybe she would too, though competetive volpes did have a tendency to take this sort of thing too far.
