"Problems? Rainstar was in love with Bravestar when they were still warriors--while he and she were still apprentice and mentor!--and Darkheart could see this. He caught Rainstar alone one night and told her that, on pain of death, she was to leave the pack, for he knew about her and Bravestar. She left the pack, scared for her life, for she had seen what Darkheart could do when he was angry." Silverheart said. "And then, after that, he made an attempt on Oakstar's life--two separate times!--and then, he killed the medicine Volpe and her apprentice. Then, after Bravestar had been made into a Warrior and the deputy in Rainstar's stead, the worst incident of all happened... and that involves Rainstar's sister that you mentioned."

"Oh?"

Clawfoot asked this curiously. The other Royal he'd heard about was apparently really close in appearance to Rainstar; however, this sister had been raised by their real parents while Rainstar had been abandoned for whatever reasons. "Did... was not Rainstar abandoned because of a prophecy surrounding her in the stars?"

"She was abandoned for that reason." Silverheart said, "But, however, that is not the story I'm going to tell you now. The story at hand is about Rainstar's sister, Snowfoot. While she may have been a Raindrop Royal, like her sister, Snowfoot and Rainstar are nothing the same. However, when Darkheart saw Snowfoot, he determined that it did not matter to him whether or not the two were completely different. So, he attacked her and killed her. Rainstar had been on the border of the pack's territory, and when she saw what Darkheart had done, well... she certainly wasn't about to come back onto the territory and confront Darkheart about it." She said, pausing here for a breath.

"Now... do tell me about this prophecy. I am sure that some other Volpes know about the prophecy surrounding her... I could feel something eerie about her, something that her that just... was weird." Clawfoot said. "I might not be a Medicine Volpe, but that doesn't mean I can't hear from the Song-Stars, correct?" he asked carefully. If his dreams were anything like what the Star-Songs told him, then that would certainly make things a little more than awkward.

"Not at all--although, if you continue hearing the Star-Songs, you might want to consider becoming the Medicine Volpe of our pack--considering that we have no Medicine Volpe to be spoken of." Silverheart said, shaking her head. "As for Rainstar's Prophecy, as they call it..."

Here, she paused. "It's a rather complicated prophecy, but when Oakstar found her, their Medicine Volpe saw a sign in the stars that said that the one whose pelt was colored like the rain would shake the very foundations of the Packs, and that she would end many a conflict, but she would be the cause of one." She said thoughtfully. "Obviously, her parents were not ready to deal with that, so... they abandoned her, leaving her out of their responsibility."

Clawfoot smiled inwardly. Maybe the Star-Songs were speaking to him, hinting at the fact that he could defy all of the stereotypes associated with the Bloodwars and become a Medicine Volpe. As he listened to the story behind Rainstar's Prophecy, his eyes widened. "End many a conflict, but be the cause of one? Do you think that... maybe... that conflict could be upcoming with the formation of the NightClaw pack, with Ashclaw and Darkheart and Bloodstrike's rebellion?" he asked.

Silverheart nodded. "I've had a couple of visions about that, too. I fear that this vision may very well be the conflict caused by Rainstar, but how it will be caused is another matter entirely. Maybe... it will be because she tries to bring them back in with open arms, and then... they do something and blame her for it..." she said thoughtfully, shaking her head after a few long moments. "Either way, I fear that we shall not live in peace much longer, my love."

"...why do you call me 'your love'?" Clawfoot asked in a halting voice. He shook his head sadly as he said, "Alas for you, Silverheart, I am not to be the one that holds your heart in my paws. No, I hold Mudtail's heart in my paws, athough she was afraid of me at first, she has been one of the nicest Griffons I've ever known. Were she not expecting pups or... whatever you call the mix between Griffons and Volpes like us, I would have come here with her." He said.

"I'm sorry..."

"M-Mudtail...?"

Silverheart thought that her world was going to cave in on her. She loved Clawfoot, but he obviously did not love her back. She sat down quietly, shaking her head as she said, "B-but... who else is there for me? Sandpool has Oakstar, Leopardstorm has Brackenpool, Brackenheart has Leafheart, Rainstar has Bravestar, and Mudtail has you..."

Clawfoot gave a slight chuckle as he said, "I've watched both of their eyes follow you around; Winterstorm more so than Sandfeather, but nevertheless... do not shun them from your sights just because they are younger than you, Silverheart. I wish I could say that I would be yours, but your Griffon companion has taken me wholly."
