You're going to go and breed with a female from this lily-pack?!Clawfoot had merely shrugged his sister off as he reminded her that he was no longer in a pack with her; he was staying with the EarthSong pack, regardless of if Bloodstrike thought them to be a "lily-pack". He didn't think them weak; after all, Nightfeather had managed to fight off Ashclaw--and Ashclaw was a demon in battle, quite literally. [0.2]

Mudtail wasn't around to see her off before she would return with pups. Oh well. The Quiksilver Volpe shrugged it off as she walked into the garden, her pawsteps light. She knew who she was meeting here; it could only be Clawfoot. Why was she in love with a Bloodwar Volpe, of all the types of Volpes she could be in love with? She didn't know. Clawfoot was... different, though--and she didn't mind that. [0.2]

"Greetings, Silverheart."
Clawfoot's voice was oddly calm for a Bloodwar Volpe. He smiled as he "handed" her a few sprigs of lilacs. "How are you this fine day? It's so nice out; I'm glad you could come out here." He said, giving a slightly nervous smile. "I sure hope that my thorn-sister didn't give you any troubles on the way out. If she did, please, let me know. I'll make sure she knows who's boss."

Silverheart smiled as she said, "I'm fine today; thank you very much, Clawfoot. No, Bloodstrike did not give me any grief whatsoever. She's abandoned our so-called 'lily-pack', along with Ashclaw and Darkheart. Nonetheless, I was certainly worried about her catching me." She smiled as she took the lilacs from him. "Why, thank you, Clawfoot. These are some of my favorite flowers..." she said in a daze.

"That is both good and bad to know. If Bloodstrike has left the pack, along with those other two, then we shall not have to worry about internal conflicts; rather, external ones. Since we still outnumber them--will outnumber them more before the summers start--and have more leadership skills on our side, we will not have to fear them in combat. I hope." Clawfoot said carefully. "I hope that Rainstar and Bravestar would be up to leading us if such a thing were to happen."

Silverheart sat up perfectly straight as she said, "I have no doubts in our leaders. After all, they managed to survive Darkheart, did they not?" she asked, smiling. "And they also have survived his return. There is nothing that those two--or Oakheart--could not do, I am certain of it. And plus, they have their sons to back them up."

Clawfoot nodded slowly, but then he said, "You also do not know Bloodstrike like I know her. You should be glad of that, yes, but I have my doubts in our leaders, even though they are rather good at the art of defense planning." He shook his head here as he said, "They may yet crack under the pressure from the enemy tribe, or they may rise above it. I know not. I cannot see into the future."

"You might not be able to see into the future," Silverheart said, "But you do know how she acts and how she operates. If anyone could prepare us for any sort of move from her against us, it would be you. And Bravestar can predict what moves Ashclaw will make, and Rainstar and Oakstar can predict what Darkheart will do." She said, holding her head high.

Clawfoot nodded as he said, "Indeed... I know Bloodstrike almost better than I know myself, and that is not necessarily a good thing." He shook his head here again. "She is always known for having dark intentions, living up to the reason that we are called 'Bloodwar'. Any mention of an enemy to someone she sympathizes for? She'll oust them in a matter of days."

Silverheart gave a slight chuckle as she said, "I know that she could do that, no doubt, but I also know about Darkheart from stories that Rainstar and Bravestar have told. Have you heard those stories, Clawfoot? Have you heard about what happened before they both left that pack?" she asked as an afterthought, raising her eyebrows.

"I do not believe that I have heard of that one," Clawfoot said carefully. "Do tell me what happened." He could only imagine what probably happened, but if he knew Darkheart, and why he was called Darkheart, then it was probably an overly-nefarious plan that went almost exactly as he had planned it--obviously not exactly as he had planned it, for Bravestar and Rainstar were still alive.

"You might want to sit down." Silverheart said. "This is a pretty intense story; I found myself wishing that I had been sitting down when Leopardstorm started telling it." She waited until Clawfoot was seated, and then, she started her story.
"It all started when they were known as Rainpup, Bravepup, and Darkpup. Rainstar was called Rainpup because of her pelt; Bravestar was called Bravepup for he was defending Rainstar from something, and Darkheart was called Darkpup because of his black pelt. Oakstar took them into his pack, and they soon became Rainpaw, Bravepaw, and Darkpaw. From there, it all went downhill."

Clawfoot did indeed sit down, and not a moment too soon. As soon as Silverheart mentioned that Darkheart had been taken in by Oakstar at the same time as Rainstar and Bravestar, his eyes widened. "Wh-what?!" he said, his voice oddly sharp here. "He... he raised that dark Volpe from puphood on?" he asked, his eyes widening. He shook his head as he thought, That must be saddening for Oakstar, seeing one of the pups he raised turn out so... bad.

Silverheart nodded as she continued. "Yes, Oakstar took in that dark Volpe that now haunts our pack. Anyhow, they soon became Warriors--I do believe that Rainstar was the first to become a Warrior, and she had the name Rainfeather. Rainstar was the apprentice to the deputy of the pack, until he was killed. Then, she was made the deputy in the stead of her old mentor. She was mentoring Bravestar--who would soon become Bravepool--at the time. How can a Warrior mentor and be mentored at the same time? Not even she will tell us how." Here, she paused.
"It was after she was made deputy that all the problems started with Darkheart..."

"Problems? How so?"
Clawfoot asked this carefully. He knew that the two leader's lives had been plagued with problems from Darkheart, but he never knew how severe they were. "I heard that she--Rainstar, that is--had a sister. Is this true?" he asked, blinking. He'd heard that she had a sister, and he'd heard that said sister was no longer around.
But why?
