Had someone else crossed the beach that day, they might have thought there was something strange about the footprints left in the sand. There were three sets all together, all of which looked perfectly normal at first glance. The first set was obviously human-there were only two prints for a start, each one a clumsy oval outline of a shoe. The second could easily be a Volpe's, neat little paw prints that stretched out in a not-so-neat line. There was nothing at all odd about these two prints. It was, in fact, the third that might have puzzled some people. At first glance, you might call them human. They had the same shoe-shaped pattern as the previous set, only perhaps more randomly placed. That was, until you looked closer. Behind the two first prints were two more-two pawprints. {Sneakers: 1 Beat: 1}

...and those shoes were found in Oregon Any human would have merely heard a yapping sound when the brown K9 opened his mouth. It was only the Panda and himself who were enjoying the tidal wave of information he was sharing, a wave which had been going on since their hunt began 30 minutes ago.
Sneakers tried to nod in what she hoped was an interested way. In all honesty, she was barely paying attention. It wasn't that she was bored by what Beat was saying-it was just that all her energy was going into trying to walk properly. A simple task for most, but not when you had two Converse trainers balanced delicately on your paws.
She was rather proud of these two shoes. It was a shame to wear them on the beach, where they could get all sandy and spoiled. One was a scarlet colour, her newest find. It had been in almost pristine condition when it had washed up on the shore. A little wet, but no salt damage-a big problem when collecting shoes from the beach. The second was a dark blue, covered in lots of light blue lines. It was pretty, but the sole was scuffed and really more grey than white
