Oshi trotted down the sandy ways, followed closely by Broken. He seemed annoyed, as always, but he was surprisingly happy to be out of that completely crowded den... just as Oshi was happy to be out of her own home. Neither of them really wanted to go anywhere, but the beach always seemed like a good place to be, even if it really wasn't. Perhaps they would be able to get something done while out here, or find something nice and interesting to take home with them? Oshi wasn't so sure, but she was willing to try!
She knew that Broken wasn't going to feel the same way about it, though, but he would eventually have to get over it. Just because he probably wouldn't, didn't exactally mean that Oshi was going to take any notice to it. She cared greatly for the Volpe, but since he was almost always so bitter, she didn't feel any reason to actually take a moment and care about how he felt on the matter. Maybe je would start caring, but at the moment, it just wasn't going to happen any time soon.
With Oshi and Broken basically ignoring each other, it was going to be very hard for them to actually find anything that may have been hidden on the tiny pebbles from the ocean. Of course, the beach did go around the entire island, so they were bound to find something eventually, especially if they just kept walking around like this. Broken would want to go home sometime or another, but Oshi figured that she'd be able to make him sit through the entire trip, even if he really didn't like the idea. After all, he had somewhat liked her, didn't he?
Broken sneezed for a moment, making the human look back at him to make sure that he was alright. He seemed to be and all, so there wasn't much of a reason for her to worry about him, but it was still concerning that he had sneezed by the ocean. Sea water was suppose to be good for your sinuses, not make you sneeze! Maybe Oshi didn't know everything about it, but she was pretty sure that was it, if anything else. Sadly, she knew that she could easily be wrong on the matter.
Uso looked over at Broken again, hoping to find that he was growing interested in something, though she didn't really care as to what that something may have been. She should have, sure, but it really didn't matter. As long as he ended up wanting to do something ,even out here on the beach, then nothing should really go wrong... right? The girl shook her head a little. She really had no reason to be worrying about any of this, especially since it was Broken, of all creatures. He was going to do whatever he wanted to, just as he always did.
Uso still wanted to know if Broken was going to be able to do something on this trip, something that wasn't going to involve moping around like what he was doing at this very moment in time. Of course, since the Thirteenth Volpe had always been like this, she really shouldn't have bothered worrying about it at all. Broken could take care of himself, even if Uso didn't really want to believe that, not even in the slightest. She just had to get over it and realzie that he was capable of being on his own.
Even if Broken really shouldn't ever be left alone, it was nice for Uso to get to think that he'd be able to. Of course, he had proved himself long ago to the rest of his pack that he was fully capable, but to Uso... not so much. She didn't really see enough of all of the Volpes to realize who was capable of doing what yet, but at least she wanted to know that sort of thing, even if it meant that she wouldn't really get to know anything at all. Just because she was around them, didn't mean that they would want to ever be around her.
With a light sigh, Uso kicked some sand off of the earth. It didn't really help her all that much, not with Broken, as he didn't at all approve of that. Sadly, it was hard for the girl to say that she actually cared, seeing as he wasn't really doing anything, anyway. Maybe if he were, she wouldn't have been quite so bored like what she happened to be at that very moment in time, and perhaps she would get to figure out what he wanted to do, no matter what it may have been. Of course, it didn't work like that.
Uso blinked for a moment, taking another look over her shoulder at Broken. He seemed to still be off in his own world, which was all fine and dandy, but she really didn't like that he was desiding that she actually needed to be ignored. "Broken?" Uso said, hoping to find that he would answer. She knew for a fact that he had some form of training, but that apparently didn't make any difference, seeing as he hadn't bothered answering her, nor did he seem to even consider doing so. What was she going to do with him, if this were to keep going as it was?
Well, it wasn't like Uso was actually going to do anything to him, anyway. If she did, odds were pretty good that the Volpe would end up taking out quite a bit of wrath out on her, which wasn't at all something that she was going to be preparred to deal with, even if she probably should have. She trusted Broken, however, so there wasn't much of a reason for her to worry, unless her trust was being as missused as she hoped that it wasn't. She simply didn't know quite yet.
Of course, odds of Broken even bothereing to misuse Uso's trust was pretty slim, seeing as the girl tried her best to keep the Volpe as healthy as she possibly could, which was actually pretty easy. He tended to do everything on his own, leaving Uso to only do a few simple things here and there. Perhaps she would have to try doing a bit more for him, so then maybe he too would be able to trust her, just like she trusted him? She wasn't so sure if that was possible, but if it was, it would probably be a good idea to try!
Then again, with how Broken typically was, attempting to help him probably wouldn't be at all wise, but what more was there for Uso to do? She couldn't just let him be a butthead all the time, even though that was probably just how the Friday Volpe would enjoy having it be, but Uso just wouldn't be able to handle that forever, now matter how hard she may have tried to do so. She would just have to figure out a way to make Broken give a rip about her, even if it was going to be hard!
Hopefully, if all went well, it would actually end up not being as hard as Uso was making it out to be. After all, Broken seemed to be fairly loyal, so maybe he would be able to hold onto that for as long as possible, even for a stubborn little Volpe like himself. Uso was more than willing to take on the challenge, even if it would end up meaning that she'd end up hurt, just because Broken was a major pain in the hide. She knew that he was, so maybe it wouldn't actually be all that bad... after a while.
Okay, so it probably would end up being pretty bad, considering that Broken was stubborn and ratherh ard to work with. In honesty, she had been lucky to teach him the few things that he already had known, but that didn't really mean much. Just because he knew his name, didn't mean that he was going to answer to it. Just because he knew he was suppose to sit, doesn't mean that he would. Just because he could bite when he was told, didn't really mean that he wasn't going to do it whenever he wanted to.
The girl glanced over at Broken for a moment, almost amazed that he was still willingly following after her. She had almost expected him to take off running to go elsewhere, despite the fact that he probably had no idea how to get back to the pack from here, even with the use of his nose. Of course, Uso didn't really know if that was true, but she certainally felt like it was. After all, the salt water was clouding his ability to smell anything but that, including his own trail.
With a light sigh, Uso turned back to the word that stood in front of her. She had been wondering how long they had been walking for, but she didn't put far too much thought into it. She knew it didn't really matter, since it wasn't like they were actually looking for anything of importance. They may have wanted something, yes, but that didn't mean to much. They could have stopped, though, to start combing the sandy beach for some sea shells of some sort, but what could that do?
Well, maybe then Broken would have less of a problem actually stopping and interacting with her? It was hard to say thig that was actually going to be possible for something like Broken, but maybe it would be worth a try? It was hard to say, though, but she was more than willing to do something, as long as it would end up working for the best... maybe, though, Uso would be able to figure something out before something bad would end up happening to them, wahtever that may have been, though, she didn't know.
Well, what would actually happen to them that would be considered "bad"? Broken would protect her if he needed to, especially since he would probably never turn down a good fight, even if he knew that he would end up losing. He was a good fighter, though, and could probably work well with all sorts of elements, maybe not just fire. Of course, Uso didn't know for sure, but she wasn't sure if she actually wanted to find out about something like that. To think that Broken was going to end up hurting something else some day... just wasn't a good thought.
Of course, knowing that Broken would be more than willing to protect the girl, it was hard for Uso to think that it was honsetly a bad idea for her to go out wandering with him, even if he ended up being a bit of a pain in the butt. Still, she did care quite a bit for Broken, so maybe he would end up caring just as much for her as she did for him. If not, it wouldn't really be a bad thing, or anything, but it would have been nice if he would be a bit more willing to spend a bit of time with the girl, even if he didn't really want to.
Uso glanced over her shoulder, yet again, to see what exactally the Friday the Thirteenth Volpe was doing. He seemed to have his attention off at nothing at all, but since Uso didn't really know if that was the case or not, she didn't really feel like it would be a good idea to press in and attempt to find out if it really was nothing or not. For all she knew, the Volpe could have seen a bird in the far off distance somewhere, which was actually a good thought, since it seemed that the beach had been pretty dead since they had gotten out here.
At least Uso and Broken were enjoying the trip, though, even if it was rather dead. It made Uso happy to get some extra one-on-one time with the Volpe, though she wasn't too sure if he was enjoying it or not. Perhaps it wouldn't be all that bad, but she wasn't entirely sure if that was going to be the case or not. She was, of course, more than willing to find out, so she would know if it would be a good idea to make Broken come back again or not. If he ended up enjoying the beach as much as Uso was, then t here shouldn't be any sort of troubles.
Maybe, though, Broken was going to end up disliking this beach trip, and even dislike Uso a little. He never really seemed to have much of a problem with the girl, but if she kept forcing trips like this onto him, odds were pretty good that he would end up at least a little annoyed with her. She would just have to find something that she knew Broken would enjoy, no matter how hard it may have been. There had to be something out there that both she and Broken would enjoy, though she wasn't too sure what that may have actually been, if anything at all...
Well, at least Uso knew that it would end up being hard for her to actually do anything, but maybe it wasn't going to be as hard as she was assuming. If all went well, maybe she and Broken would actually enjoy this trip together, and she wouldn't end up needing to go too far out of her way to make him happy? She wasn't too sure if that was actually possible or not, but she would try, even if it was going to end up being a little harder than what she actually wanted to deal with. It was, after all, one of her companions, so it was going to be well worth it.
Okay, so maybe it wasn't going to be as well worth it for Broken as what it would be for Uso, but at least it was something... right? She didn't really know, of course, but maybe she would eventually be able to figure it out. Sadly, she wasn't sure if it would end up taking forever, or just a few moments. Perhaps it would be a better idea to just let Broken go home so he wouldn't have to deal with Uso's useless rambling that probably meant absalutely nothing to him. Sadly, Uso really didn't want to do that. She wanted to at least try to get to know him!
