Dixie X Chain (Done ^.^ Awaiting pups ^.^)

Chain noticed her blush, and his tail wagged a bit faster. He knew that female Volpes blushed when told that they were pretty, so he didn't really think that much about it, except that maybe Dixie liked being called pretty. Well, of course she did! She was after all! He couldn't restraign himself anymore. With a delighted bark, he bounced up to Dixie and began to lick her ears, watching as the butterfly flew away.

Dixie let out a started bark. She had let her gaurd down while she was looking at the butterfly. Oh no, she thought, her blush quickly becoming less plesent and spreding throughout her body. Her whole fur felt hot, as thought it had suddenly been set on fire, with her still in it. She looked down at the ground in shame. Now Chain will know that she's been lying to them, to all of them.

Chain stopped his licking as soon as she made a noise and pulled back in surprise. "Dixie?" He asked, a confused look on his face. "Did you just bark?" His voice wasn't disapproving, but hopeful, as though this would be the best thing on earth if it was true. He waited for her answer, or lack of one, his ears standing straight up to catch any other sound she may make.

She continues to look down at the ground, feeling her ears burn with shame. But, strangely, it is not yes that comes out in her shy voice, but "I love you Chain." The blush gets worse immideatly, and she examines an ant by her paw. She has no idea why she just said that, but she knows that Chain is likely going to go away now and hate her for the rest of her life. He'll tell the rest of the Volpes too, and her life will be so much worse from ow on, all because of a stupid little mistake.

Chain's ears go straight up, even the floppy tips pointing to the sky. He is surprised and pleased and slightly angry all at once. She loves him? But... that's impossible. All he did was give her flowers, although, come to think of it, he feels drawn to her as well. Is that perhaps love? Does he love her back? He doesn't know, but he says it anyways. "I love you too Dixie." He says, smiling and wagging his tail excitedly. "How come you never told anyone that you can talk?"

Dixie's heart seems to have soared right up out of her body. He loves her too, and all she had had to do was talk. Maybe, just maybe, talking wasn't so bad, but she would still use it sparingly, maybe only with Chain. Yes, that sounds good to her. She will only talk to Chain.

But then there is that matter of Chain's question. Why hadn't she told anyone she could'nt talk? "I'm too shy." She said finally, leaning againt his shoulder and licking his ears.

Chain is clearly confused. "But you don't seem shy to me." He says, sitting down and cuddling into whathe guesses will likely be his life mate. He loves her soft and gentle ways, although is still just a tiny bit hurt that she had been keeping her secret for so long from him, from everyone. "Why would you be shy?" He askes suddenly, gently bathing her face in licks. "You look like a flower goddess right now. If anyone shoud be shy, it should be me."

Now this is certainly news to Dixie. She realizes that she couldn't know how anyone thought of her because of the fact that no one talks to her, thinking that she can't talk back. "I don't know why I'm shy." She says, with a tiny bit more volume to her voice. "All I know is that around you, I feel much more comfortable than anywhere else." She licks him again, and suddenly realizes that she's readly to mate with him and have pups. At first she was terrified, but now she knows that all she wants to do is stay with him forever and raise pups with him. She's not even thinking about the army anymore. She wants to have pups because she wants a part of her and Chain to be forever joined together in new life. "I love you." She says softly again.

Chain smiles calmly, quite unlike how he normally is. "I love you too Dixie." He says, continuing his slow, carressing licks. I loved you from the moment I first layed eyes on you. I suspected that you could talk, but the reason I thought that was was because you thought you were better than us. Guess I shouldn't have looked to Delilah for reference." He laughs lightly and licks her a tiny bit harder. "Dixie of the K9 army?" He asks suddenly, in a voice that seems a bit too serious. "Will you be my mate and have pups with me?" He holds his breath, awaiting her response.

Dixie can't believe her ears. She had thought that she was going to be the one to voice this request, but it's him, and somehow, it makes it infinatly better. "Yes Chain." She says, giving him a fierce lick. "I will be your mate, for now and forever." She doesn't know what else to say, so just sits there wagging her tail in sheer happiness. She would remember this day for the rest of her life, of that she was sure.
