It turned out that Ryuu hadent forgotten about him at all. She wasnt even as far away as he had thought she was, the curve of the slight hill they had been on had hid her quicklier then flat land would have done. And she wasent happy. "Stormwing" she sighed. "Ithought I told you to wait." Oh yer, she had. He should have realised she was testing him. Now he felt very stupid.

Ryuu started alwaking away from him again but stopped and turned around to say: "This time I want you to actually stay put. When you hear me call your name and tell you to come you can but not before. Got that?" He nodded. This time he would wait for her, even if he had to wait ages. She nodded back and continued walking away from him.

She kept walking till she was quite far away. Then she turned around once again to face him...and did nothing. She stood their for several minutes just staring at him over the lush grassy expance of the training field while he figited and repeatedly lifted his paws/ clawed feet up and down, desperate to race over to her. But no, he must do that. Yet. But what was taking her so long?

Finally, after what seemed an impossibly long time he heard a sound above the getnly blowing wind. He pricked his ears up (ones that were far too volpe-dog like for his taste) and listened. The secound time he heard it clearly, it was the sound of Ryuu calling his name. He flapped his wings a couple of times to show her that he had heard and waited for the words that would allow him to swoop over to meet her.
