Ryuus training Stormwing ^^

[~*Ryuu Squall*~]

Stormwing had his head stuck in an interesting hole looking for rabbits when he heard his nickname being called by Ryuu.
That was odd. What was Ryuu doing here? He wished she had found a good name for him. Stormwing was OK but she was still looking for a better one then that. Maybe skywing would fit a bit better.

There she went again, calling across to him. What was it she wanted? Couldent she see he was busy? He was sure there was still a rabbit in there, he could smell it. Maybe he should try and widen the hole. Then he could get to it. He dident like digging though, all the dirt would get in his feathers and he hated getting dirty. What a dilema. He was just trying to decide when he heard her call once again, though sharper this time then before.

This time he lifted his head out of the hole and shook it to clear the soil that had already built up from his feathers. He still dident know why she was here though. Wait a minute...ah. He had just realised were he was. He had accidently strayed into the training field hadnt he? Did that mean Ryuu had decided since he was here she would try and train him?

[~*Ryuu Squall*~]

No! No one could tame him, let alone train him! He was a griffen, not some dog volpe.
By now he could see Ryuu. She had walked tewords him and was now glaring at him, hands on hips. "Your names stormwing, at least for now, isnt it?" she asked pointedly. Stormwing nodded. "Then why dident you come when I asked you too?" He shrugged slightly, making his wings. "You could have been in danger, there might have been someone with an axe about to chop your head off or something. Youve got to learn to come to me or at least turn your head round when I call your name!" Oh. He hadent thought about it that way. And Ryuu was really anyoued with him. She had never benn before and he found he really dident like it.

He dident want to be treated like a dog but she did have a point with this at least. As scary and feous as he looked he really did love Ryuu and how much freedom she allowed the others. It anoyed him that it was him who was being trained but wasnt it worth all the freedom they got most of the time?
He stepped forward to were Ryuu stood and looked up at her with apolagetic eyes.
She lent down and hugged his neck and tickled him under the neck, just how he liked it.

After a minute or two Ryuu got up and walked a few steps away from him. "Right" she said. "Stormwing?" he looked round at her, trying to do it right to please her. She smiled happily at Stormwing. "Right, now come to me Stormwing. He baunded straight over to her. It all seemed very silly to him but if it made her happy and got him a tickle under the cheek he might as well do it. As long as none of the otehrs saw him doing it that is.

"I know you dont want to be trained much but I really, really want to train you" she told him. He opened his mouth and stuck his tounge out slightly, his sighn of disgust. "But I really want to train you. Your are the most hansom and strong of all my volpes." The praise made with suddenly feel very proud and speciel. "And anyway I think you would be the best at fighting" At this his ears defibetly pricked up. She wanted to train him to fight! He would love to be able to fight properly. "Unfortunetly" she said sadly "Ive got to teach you some tricks before I can move and to fighting moves." He sighed, but nodded in understanding.

"Right, lets prectice what youve learnt a couple more times" Ryuu told him as she backed away untill she was about two wing spans away from him. "Right." she turned to face him. "Stormwing?" he raised his head to look at her. "Come Stormwing." He let out a resighned groan and walked over to were she was standing. "There. Its not that bad, is it Stormy?" She ruffled his head feathers affectionetly.

"Once more" she called over he shoulder as she walked away from him. She walked quite a bit further then before and Stormwing was just wondering if she would ever stop when she suddenly came to a standstill and whirled around. "Stormwing!" she called though he was already looking at her so he just nodded. "Come!" she shouted striaght afterwards. "Come on Stormy, lets see how fast you can really go."

Stormwing could never resist a chance to show off. He emidiatly started running full pelt at Ryuu and after a few secounds he opened his wings and started to beat them. After a few flaps he was air born and heading straight for Ryuu. He was going too fast to stop and crashed right into her, sending her flying. They both ended up in a heap on the grass. "Maybe I should have tought you how to stop" Ryuu groaned from underneath Stormwing who lept up her with a whine of apolagy.

"Ok then" Ryuu said once Stormwing had lept off her and she had dusted herself down. She looked at her knees, they were all grass stained. that was going to take a lot of washing out...oh well life goes on.
"Im going to teach you another few tricks before we move onto the more interesting stuff. Stormwing dident think much of this idea but dident react.
"The next thing I want you to learn is to sit."

[~*Ryuu Squall*~]

At this Stormwing did give a growl. Sit! She wanted him to sit. Coming to his name was one thing, but sitting on command! He wasnt a dog volpe who could be taught to sit. He refused., he wouldent do it, no way. Then suddenly he felt a large pressure on his backside and before he could realise what was happening his rump was on the ground.
"There,not so bad now is it?" Ryuu asked happily.

He lept up and let out an angry shriek like a bird of pray. He opened his wings and flapped them a couple of times before taking off. He flew above Ryuus head , going round in large circles. "Stormwing" She called to him. "Come here Stormwing."
No, he wouldent come. Absalutly not. "Stormwing, come" Ryuu called again. "If you dont you wont be able to learn how to fight."
His anger slwoly started to eb. He really did want to learn how to fight properly. After a couple more ciruits in the sky he finally touched down and walked over to Ryuu, taking his own time about it. As soon as he was near enough she crouched down and strocked him. "Should I maybe leave the sitting for now?" She asked him and he chirriped his approval of the idea.

"Right. Ok. So moving swiftly on from Sitting. Hmm... What should we do instead?" She thought about it for a while. "Not roll over, your wings would make that hard and you would get all dirty. What else is there... Ok if you know your name and come you should really learn to stay as well. What about that?"
Well he dident really want to do that but it was better then sit. Though not by much.

She walked a short way away from him and told him "Stay there." Well that was simple enough. Then she walked away. She kept walking, further and further away untill he couldent see her any more. Were was she? Had she forgotten about him or just walked off and left him? He let out a whine and shuffled his paws, desprite to go after her. Stormwing promised himself that he would just wait a few minutes but after a short while of standing there he gave up and took off after her.
