Stats forms tell official battling information about volpes. The base stats differ by each breed of volpe, so please be sure to collect the correct information!
Before getting into a more in-depth explanation of the stats, here's starting information.
The stats are broken into two groups, Trainable and Non-Trainable. Like the group names state, Trainable Stats are the ones you can train and increase, while the Non-Trainable stats are the ones you cannot train by normal means. There are ways of increasing Non-trainable stats, however these are mostly 'artificial' processes (such as potion use)..
To raise a trainable stat, take your Volpe off to Gym Woods! There is a limit of gaining a total of 25 extra points in all these stats(not 30 each, but an addition of 25 in total). For more information on increasing Trainable stats, please visit the Gym Woods board.
Size, W. C., Will, and Magic are all Non-Trainable.
Health, Strength, Defense, and Speed are the Trainables.
Non-Trainables:
Size - Size is a measure of how big your Volpe is. This is a really important matter, despite its simplicity. Size is rated on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the biggest. Here's a chart:
1: Size 1 Volpes are too small for battle, some being small enough to fit in one's pocket! Volpes of this size are often considered to be miniature. There isn't yet a known breed of volpe this size, however..
2: Size 2 Volpes are the ones that can battle, but they are pretty small, no taller than a man's knee in height. These are the more fragile Volpes, and most have a generally low defense stat, yet higher speed stat.
3: Size 3 is your average size for a Volpe, about mid-thigh to a man in height. Not too small, not too large; just right!. They have the most stable of stats.
4: Size 4 Volpes are quite large. An average size 4 Volpe can come up to about 4' 3" in height at the shoulders. A Volpe that size is big enough to ride! Generally, volpes this large tend to be aggressive, and have low will. A lot of training will be required to ride one, but it is possible.
5: Size 5 Volpes are just huge. At about 5' 2" at the shoulders, you might just be looking these Volpes right in the eye at your standing height! And some are even larger. Nice steeds these would make. But these biggies have usually bad tempers, its best to stay away.
W. C. - This is an abbreviation for Weapon Capacity. Volpes can indeed wield 'weapons', if trained properly to do so. This is for the more 'advanced' Volpes, but none the less, is included. Weapons include defensive equipment and offensive equipment, both go in this category. Battle items can include simple objects such as berries which replenish Health, to more offense based objects such as fang or claw extensions. Armour, and even saddles are included in this Weapon Capacity count.
Will - Will tells how willing a Volpe is to learn, be handled, and its general 'intelligence'. This is rated on a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being the most willing. Volpes with a high will are easier to teach, but are usually more fragile. Volpes with low will can just be are the harder to teach, but are usually the stronger of Volpes. Some of low will are even the more intelligent of Volpes. These Volpes are good at magic, but like other low willed, are harder to teach.
Magic - The world is Volpes is limitless. Some Volpes are capable of magic! Now when you think magic, you're probably thinking of the illusionists kind, pulling a rabbit from a hat, etc. Volpe Magic, called Renuea(re-new-ah), is like the fantasy magic you may see in video games. It's measured on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most magical (and knowing of magic and how to use it). Some 'magic tricks' include summoning the elements to attack and defend, and also 'possessing' another Volpe!
Trainables:
Health - The basic measure of how many hits your Volpe can take before passing out. Health is usually a Volpe's highest stat, and it is also the most important. Getting a good level of this will ensure your Volpe will last through a battle.
Strength - This is how strong a Volpe is. Volpes with great strength can blow great knock outs in the ring, but those Volpes that start off with a high strength can be a bit challenging to train if an owner cannot handle it.
Defense - This is how sturdy a Volpe is. Good defense makes for a long lasting Volpe in the ring, combine this with health and it'll take a bit for this Volpe to be knocked out. The bad thing is that the speed of high defense Volpes is generally not too good. Taking too many hits could lead to defeat.
Speed - This measures how fast a Volpe moves. Zippy, speedy Volpes are hard to hit! High speed can also have an advantage to first hit. But speedy Volpes are usually weak in defense and strength. Taking a chance wouldn't hurt, though, right?
