16. Yori slowly sat down, almost thinking that this was going to be somewhat like a "story time" of sorts. Now, how to explain Oshi...
"Well... I guess you can call her that," he began, thoughtfully. "You see, a lot of the other Volpes in the den try to run off, and often get themselves lost. If she doesn't know where to look for them, they could be gone for days at a time..." Yeah, it was probably nice to get to wander around like this, but his human... Oh, Oshi would have a fit if she didn't know he was here!

"Oh. I think all the others are fine were they are. We all live in little packs and are very close to each other. the packs can get very territorial which is why we all have our own pack caves inside the crytal cavern. There is sometimes a bit of fighting between packs but Ryuu soon sorts that out. No volpe wants to leave perminetly becouse that would weaken their pack. I have my very own pack" Windsinger said proudly.

18. Yori flicked his ear. Smaller packs within one large area? Well, sure, that would make sense, but he himself hadn't lived like that in a very long time, so it was hard to say as to why anyone would want to live any other way, but... that certainally wasn't his call.
"We don't really have 'packs, per se," Yori said, blinking slowly. He was curious how that worked for the female and her family, but it seemed to be doing fine. "We've actually lived that way for a long time, so I hardly know how a smaller pack works. Do tell?"

19."Um." She wasnt sure what to say. What would be differnt in a small pack to a big one. She wasnt quite sure. "Well. Since there are less of us in each pack we are often very loyal and close though some do have rifts between differnt volpes in the same pack. I guess there are less volpes to hunt for but Ryuu provides most of our food so that dosent really matter. Umm. I guess there would be more fighting in our den then ones with more clans but if another, big clan attcked us or something I think we would all join together to protect our home.

20. Yori nodded lightly, trying to understand every word that she said. Hunt, huh? His pack hadn't hunted in a very long time. Perhaps that was because they were so dependant on their human, but that was fine, really, as she tended to take fairly good care of them. "I wouldn't wish for you to meet my pack," he said, laughing a little. "There's at least one fight on a daily basis." Well, it wasn't a pretty thought, but it was indeed true.

21."There arnt fights that often in the Crystal Cavern but im quite a good fighter though. And I can hunt OK as well" She told him happily. "What about you? Do you end up in one of those fights often or do much hunting?" She was interested in finding out and wondered if he would like to come hunting with her some time. She loved hunting, the suspence of the stalking, the thrill of the chase and the satisfaction of a full belly becouse of your skills was just amazing.

22. Yori shook his head lightly. "I stay away from those that enjoy fighting," he stated. "But hunting... my pack hasn't done that in a very long time, you see. Our human happily supplies us most of our food, though sometimes the alpha pair may go out to catch some mice. I guess we don't have anything big running around our den." What else could he tell her? His lfie didn't seem to be at all interesting in comparison to this female's.

23. "Well. We dont eactly have to hunt to servive" Windsinger admitted. "But it is fun. Ryuu gets very anoyed if we bring what weve cought back becopuse she always ends up having to clear up the left over bones and stuff." She had managed to train most of them not to bring their prey back with them but some still did every now and again. She never knew who did it though becouse none of them would tell on their pack mates.

24. Yori could only nod. His pack never hunted. Well, yeah, the alphas did, maybe the Death and Evil brothers, but besides that? Most unlikely. "What is it like to be chasing something?" he questioned the female, unsure what he was actually suppose to think of it all. "Even if it's something as small as a rabbit." He wasn't really sure what roamed around her dens, but... he couldn't honestly think it was anything big.

25."Well first youve got to find some clues that theres prey around, like finding their scent, hearing their calls or scenting them. Then youve got to pinpoint were they are and start to stalk them. If they sent you youve got to leap up and chase. If they dont, you pounce on them.
Ive hunted rabbits, hares, lots of differnt birds, little things like mice. Oh and ive cought fish and a few times, working with my pack ive managed to bring down a small dear, either a munkjack or a young one of a bigger type."
