He couldn't believe it. As he strolled through the familiar grounds, he couldn't help thinking it over. It was his third (third!) time here, and he was pretty pleased about it. His previous visits had been fun and interesting, and he was looking forward to meeting someone new yet again, and getting to know them. Diego studied the area around him. He wasn't sure where would be the best place to look for the female. He didn't know anything, except that she had a white pelt with blue wings. At least this information would be slightly helpful. It narrowed the chances of him talking to the wrong Volpe. Eventually he decided to wait by a large tree, having used the careful elimination process of 'eenie-meanie'. He would stay here, wait for a bit, and if he didn't see her, go looking somewhere else. Nerves were once again no issue to Diego. He was confident 1/30

2. Though Diego was obviously very pleased to be here, the same couldn't really be said for Yume. It was an entirely terrible idea to make her come here... she disliked puppies, and it was hard enough for her to get along with the ones she had, let alone her own! Poor Seika had already taken Yume's wrath without even knowing that it was going to come to her. Since Uso dropped her off, and Yume had a sort of idea as to what she was looking for, there wasn't a whole lot of problem with finding the thing. The only issue would be where to look. Since she knew nothing about him, she didn't know if he would be by the water or under a tree... in a tree. She would just have to try to find him... some how. Soon enough, though, Yume's wandering brought her to an orange beast, the one that she seemed to have been looking for. Now the problem was... did she actually want to talk to him? Well, not really, but she had to. After a moment or two of just... sitting there, she let out a loud, obviously annoyed bark. She just didn't want to get close to the tree and set it aflame!

The Volpe had been idly gazing up at the sky when he heard the bark. It startled him slightly, and he lowered his head to see a pretty white Volpe sitting a bit away. He stayed where he was for a few seconds, wondering why she wasn't just coming over. Did she expect him to just go waltzing over because she demanded it?
After about a minute of confusion, Diego noticed something purple around her feet. Boots? No, hang on...they were flames. Realization dawned on him, and he quickly got to his feet. Shaking a few rogue blades of grass off his fur, he padded over with a friendly smile.
She didn't really look that happy if he was honest. It made him pause, but only for a brief second. He was hoping he'd be able to cheer her up. Maybe she was just nervous?
Hi He barked in greeting, his pitch neither deep nor high. He was smiling politely, but not in a wide-toothed way. He didn't want to come off as more of an idiot than he already had

Great, another Volpe that didn't seem to take notice of her flames. What the heck was she suppose to do if he refused to notice them? She would have to risk catching things on fire, which surely wasn't a wise idea. It would probably end up desroying the entire garden, which would end up getting her, and quite possibly this strange Volpe, into a whole lot of trouble.
Thankfully, it didn't take him to long to study Yume, so that was good. There was no way that she would have been able to deal with him being a total fool while he attempted to figure her out... and him thinking that she was foolish for not coming over to him. It wasn't like she would have been able to do much about that, though, but at least it would be fine now.
Of course, just because it was "fine" didn't really mean that she was all that excited. He seemed to be... okay with it, so there was something for him. "Hello," she replied, though she still wasn't fully interested in him. "My name is Yume." She figured that she should tell him now, before he even thought of asking.

Quickly getting over his previous blunder, he was eager to redeem himself. That's a pretty name It was pretty much a standard response, but Diego meant it this time. Despite being a horrible flirt, he surprisingly tried to stick to the truth, and rarely used compliments he didn't mean.
I'm Diego She hadn't asked, but he figured she'd need to know his name. Now he was closer, he could examine those purple flames better. They were made of several shades of purple, and were oddly hypnotic, to Diego at least.
Isn't it hard to walk with them? The words were out before he could stop himself. Darn, he was usually smoother than this. A faint blush crept up on his cheeks. He really hoped he hadn't offended her

6. Yume had to resist the urge to roll her eyes. Was this thing trying to flirt with her? Now, she kenw that wasn't all that wise of him, but it wasn't like he knew. She was, after all, not someone that he knew. If all went her way, he wouldn't really know her at all, but she wasn't too sure if that was going to be the case.
She flicked her tails around herself to sit down. It wasn't like she had wanted to know his name, but it was sadly proven that she didn't really get a say in such things. Oh well, really. It probably could have been far worse, so she would simply have to deal with it.
Great, because there was a question she had never heard before. The female closed her eyes, trying not to seem as annoyed as she really was. "No, it's not," she said. "Just need to stay away from dried grass and water."

Uh oh. Diego was a Volpe who was no stranger to irritation, and he could tell when someone was annoyed with him. Usually it was males who he bothered, but he knew not every female responded well to flirting.
Sorry, I didn't meant to offend you He wondered briefly if stepping into water would hurt her, but he didn't want to risk asking any more questions about it. Seeing her sit down, he sat down himself about a few feet away. Rather horribly then, a brief minute of Awkward Silence from him followed. Diego hated silence. Really, he preferred unbearable noise to the empty echo of silence.
So... He broke the silence with a grin Should we do the whole 'where are you from?' thing?

8. Fact was, Yume wasn't really someone who enjoyed the company of others, though it seemed that someone always wanted to be around her. She wasn't too sure if this beast had actually had a choice ,though, so she wouldn't dare question him on it.
The female flicked her ears back against her skull. Offended? Hah! No, she didn't ever take offence. Not really, anyway, she was simply very easily annoyed, which he had already found out about her, she was sure. "I take no offence," she finally said, hoping to figure out what to do with this one. Sadly, his silence seemed to take over the air, which really was fair. Of course, it wasn't really something that she was use to. It was... surprisingly nice to not have to listen to anything.
Yume blinked at the male for a moment when he spoke again. Like he actually needed to know where she was from. "Not from around here," she stated, nodding lightly, then glancing over to the flowering bushes. "I take it you were forced here, too, or did you actually come willingly?"

Phew. He was glad he hadn't hurt her feelings. He definitely didn't want her to think that he thought her flames were weird. If anything, they were cool. But he was determined not to focus on physical details, or judge based on them.
Her answer was not very specific, but Diego wasn't going to push her if she didn't want to tell him something. Her question actually explained a little about herself-obviously she had been forced here. The male supposed this was a bad thing overall, but at least it possibly meant she didn't have a problem with him, so much as she had a problem being here.
I suppose technically I was forced. But I did want to come. If I didn't, I don't think I would have really had a choice though That thought was rather disturbing actually. He was glad it hadn't come down to that-he hated being told what to do, and it usually made him want to misbehave all the more Why didn't you want to come? He asked curiously, tilting his head. It was a habit he had picked up from a friend, and one that annoyed him constantly, yet he found unable to stop doing

10. Why did it seem that everyone she ever spoke to was either entirely silent, or asked far too many questions? It wasn't like she really had any form of problem with being spoken to, since complete silence did tend to bother her a lot more, but... questions. Always questions. She didn't even think that these even mattered!
Of course, since she had no other choice, Yume figured that, if she didn't make the best of this, she would end up alone and in silence. That wasn't going to be at all fun. Okay, so she really didn't plan on having much fun in the first place, not with some random male that she would most likely never speak to again, but hey, at least it was something, right?
The female online nodded at his reply, since she wasn't too sure what else she was suppose to do. She knew that most creatures had some choice in coming here, while others had owners who just wanted them to meet other creatures, even though they themselves never bothered. "I do not like others," she said simply, shrugging and looking back to the strange brute. "Why did you want to come here?" Why not ask him? She found it obvious that she would be here for a while, anyway, so small talk would just have to do!

Wow, at least she was honest. Diego couldn't understand that fact-how could someone not like being around others? He hated being alone, one reason why he loved his home. At the beach it was fun, peaceful but still lively with there almost always being at least one other Volpe there. He imagined how empty, how hollow the place would seem with no one but himself there...
I just wanted to meet someone I guess. I mean, I love meeting people. What could be better than making new friends? A sheepish grin spread across his face Well, that sounds a bit cheesy. What I'm trying to say is, I find other Volpes interesting. I like hearing about them, and listening to their stories He was hoping he wasn't coming off as a dork. He didn't normally do the whole soppy and honest thing. Mind you, he felt that his normal 'funny and flirtatious' way wouldn't be welcomed by Yume

12. The female flicked her ear a little. She found this creature rather intereting, though certainally not interesting enough to make her want to stay here for all that much longer. She wasn't too sure how this brute would take it, though, if she were to just up and leave, so she would try her hardest to not do that to him... even if she really did want to. For now, she would just have to attempt to figure out what she was suppose to say, if anything at all. It couldn't have been all that hard, since she was use to so many talking to her all the time.
Now, she found it silly that anyone could want to meet someone new... ever. And friends? Hah! She didn't need friends. She wasn't even sure what she would consider her "friend." What even made one? "I have no friends," she finally said, not finding anything better to say. She was sure that it would make him think she was foolish or something, but she felt the same. "I suppose that you could say that I have no need for them." That was true. She wasn't stupid enough to get herself into trouble, so she rarely ever needed saving... and she didn't really care, to make it all better for her.

No need? Diego was shocked by her statement. How could someone live a life without friends? Even most Volpes who considered themselves loners had at least one companion. Why would she feel she had 'no need' for them?
Everyone needs friends He grinned brightly, remembering briefly how much fun he'd had with all of his friends. They were always together, messing around on the beach or exploring a forest somewhere Who else can you tease or bully without fear of being called cruel? This was, of course, a joke. Diego hated those who thought it fun to pick on others. Granted, he had done his fair share of light teasing. But he always swapped victims and would never be intentionally cruel to one person.
I'll tell you what He continued I'll be your first friend. Even if you think you don't need one Hopefully she'd take this the right way. Diego could be charmingly pushy when he wanted to be

14. Yume looked over at the brute. Why did he seem so surprised that she didn't need anyone around her to be happy? She liked not having to rely on everyone else to ensure that she's content with life. All being with others did was make it harder for you, since you were dealing with their problems, too.
The female shook her head. This brute seemed to know nothing at all about her, which really was just fine, but it was a little annoying. It wasn't like it was all that hard to tell that she enjoyed being alone, but maybe she really didn't show anything about herself? Yume only flicked her ears back against her skull, unsure what she was suppose to make of this one. "I do not enjoy talking to others," she told him, though she wasn't too sure how that would make him feel, either. Hopefully he wouldn't even care.
Yume shook her head again, trying to figure out what to do with this one. "I have no friends," she hissed. Could he not understand that? She didn't want any friends, and she didn't plan on starting such things now!

Hmm...so she didn't like talking. His questions probably weren't much fun for her then. His decided he should maybe try a different approach. After all, he wanted Yume to like him.
Flicking his tail thoughtfully, Diego tried to think of something else they could do. He was tempted to retry his friend comment, but he felt teasing her wouldn't work right now. It was difficult for him to try and think of a way for them to bond without him talking. One of his main flirting techniques was his comments, little jokes he liked to throw into conversation. This could be a challenge for him to avoid them.
Let's see, we've done names, friends...the next logical thing would be families He tilted his head again and smiled slyly Unless you're sick of talking? Trying to think of something she might like to do, he continued We could maybe explore this place a bit if you like. Staying away from any lakes of course He refrained from using his normal, jokey tone at this last comment. He didn't want her to think he was making fun of her
