After a moment, Fire got an idea. She could try to teach Starheart both 'speak' and 'sit' at the same time. She smiled as she said, "Starheart, sit!" Starheart tilted her head as she tried to register this command, but, after she remembered what Fire had done before. Not wanting to have her rump pushed to the ground again, she tentatively sat down.
"Now, speak!" Fire said. Starheart seemed to smile as she let out a bright bark.
"Good girl!" Fire said, holding out a treat. Starheart smiled again and looked endearingly at Fire, but Fire made no move to drop the treat.
